The fact the bio I read said he doesn't have natural bend or twitch to him is an indication he can play stiff and be a guy that fails to develop a superior outside in move from the EDGE.

Does anyone else read it that way?

Well, we started off well. I think this was a massive reach.
 
Sneaky Browns taking their killer draft to another level in the 5th, picking Justin Jefferson. Vikings gonna let them just do that?

Yep. AP did this with WRs last year and now is doing it with the OC. Someone please make me believe that Allgretti is a starting OC for this team. I don't see it. It was reported that we went hard for Linderbaum and to not have a quality OC playing on a line that needs to protect their franchise QB is a mystery to me.
 
This is perhaps one of the most polarizing players we have drafted recently in terms of the difference of opinion of various draft and media sources.

Some have him as a steal and others think he is a guy that takes 2-3 years to develop into something worth talking about.

But that's OK if Peters knows what he's doing.

Beathard often made draft choices that other personnel and media guys criticized as being less than value at the time of the pick and they ended up being pro bowlers.

We saw that with Russ Grimm in 1981 and Charles Mann in 1983.
 
I never watched him but whenever I watched draft videos and i watched a ton, he's name would pop up quite a lot. Like I showed he's not just liked by the draft media but ranked 8th by scouts.

So profile wise its not a reach its closer to steal. But I don't ultimately judge by whats said on paper I got to get to watching him to make up my own mind.

Brugler a bit lower on him than most, he has him in the range they took him -- 4th-5th round. Here is Brugler's scouting report.

Just going off 2 minutes of highlights. Good get off. Incredible length (though he doesnt seem to use it much). limited bend. He is a project with measurables. Probably a practice squad guy. Which means a pretty crappy pick in the 5th imo. I get sticking to your board. But 5th rounders are expected to make your 53. Not really seeing it with this guy.

I liked Jean-Baptise in Peters draft #1, but I did watch him quite a bit to form a take. I haven't watched Joseph. But in this range for pass rushers, I am looking for traits.

Which reminds me two drafts in row, Peters took the dude I was pounding the table for in the 7th. Maybe that's my round? lol, I got to figure out who I want there -- whomever that is that will be the pick.

Does anybody like the pick?

I wonder if we were targeting one of the two centers picked right before us.

I might have preferred one of the safeties or corners taken this round but that’s just based on positions we need.

Most alarming is most of his pass rush wins are manufactured stunts into B/A that take a long time to develop and he is unblocked.
