The one thing I didn't like about the presser was Peters talking about Anthonio's multiple injuries and how he's tough and played through them. It worries me if he's injured all the time.

I pointed out durability is one of my bigger concerns with him. In four years he missed 10 games. That's a fairly high clip, but 8 of those games were in 2023, I believe. And 2 were 2025 in the first two weeks. He played through that injury after that - which may be what AP meant.

Because you know it’s true. I hate the “versatility” and “position flex” label, since Rivera. We always ask our guys to do everything, vice focus and master what they’re good at. Drives me nuts…

Most football players are injured all the time, it has to impact their ability to practice for it to even hit the injury report. So toughness in that regard is a good thing, especially for a 190lb guy. Has definitely missed some games though, worth keeping an eye on

BMitch talked about this today and how in his days, referenced Santana Moss, that guys just played thru the hamstring crap all the time and never talked about it. His point was how soft players have gotten recently. LOL

As far as being insufferable. Sorry, the shock of it made me giddy. I didn't think he was on their radar. And I watched a good 30 WRs in this class, and he was one of my favorites. This isn't me rallying around the pick after its done. I've been on this guy for months. So I am pleased.

Will see. As far as pushback, I recall getting it on Terry at the time. Third rounder, too. I can take the arrows. I've been right, I've been wrong about players. But generally, I've discovered over the years as to WR, go with good route runners who can seperate, it improves the odds. Will see.

It’s interesting to read an analyst say “separation” is his super power, as I’ve heard Jayden does better with such receivers. So maybe there is an element of fit there.

I think, ironically, the guy I was thinking of was Crowder. Who was good in the slot, and Jay thought he could win on the outside, and he couldn’t, so they tried Grant who wasn’t good enough to be on the roster out there and that didn’t work.

I’ll give Jay this: his options were … limited. But he kept trying to convince me Grant was good, and for that there is no excuse.

Honestly after Love I forgot any other RBs were even in this draft class.

I hate to agree with BayouBrave86, and I’m no expert compared to many here, but maybe Malachi Fields.

Maybe a C or CB.

I’m seeing a lot of other receivers in round 3, no idea if Amy of those are better.

I like the pick well enough though.

Malachi Fields had one of the worst seperation scores in this group. And if you watch him, its evident.

For a dude that isn't that fast and isn't that hot of a seperator, to his credit he was a good deep ball threat in college. But will that work in the pros? I was watching one of these analytics guys talking about college WR with poor seperation skills really struggiling in the pros.

I was ok with Fields. i like his hands and size. But to me I think he's limited.

PFF had Antonio rated higher than Fields by 31 spots.

Part of it is also that we’re much more aware of minor injuries due to the 24/7 gambling and fantasy reporting, and the way the NFL is much more strict with injury reports (due to those $$ interests)

Guys used to miss mid-week practices and we’d have no idea unless a beat guy happened to witness it.

And what’s even crazier is that Kyle’s RB pick was more of a sleeper that they took way early (as Kyle is known to do with RB’s he falls for). He wasn’t even invited to the combine and he was the #90 pick! Pretty unusual selection.

So…really only two RB’s who were “expected” to go by now have gone.
