Next years 3rd? Sure
So several posters have bemoaned winning the pointless game we were supposed to lose last year and ending up with a draft position of 7 instead of 5. But turned out our pick at 5 would have been the same Styles we got at 7 anyhow. Father Fate works in mysterious ways.
Good time to mention trade because at some point, we need to move down. It'd be sweet to go just low enough to get a 4th round pick to have a 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 6th and 7th.
The Junkies increasingly show they don’t know shit about shit. They are overrated, lazy af, and don’t do their research or any preparation it seems.Good luck junkies listeners (does anyone still listen? Are they still on the air?), EB tweeted “we drafted a project 🤷♂️” lmao
We can move down to #81 - #83 and get a mid - later 4th.Problem is we don’t need depth and ST’s studs, we need at least one more starting caliber player. 71 gives us the best shot at that, no? Trading back to 90 or whatever to pick up a 4th rounder means we’re looking at more developmental guys in all likelihood.
Hurts hates throwing to the center of the field. I agree it’s a weird fit
I'm somewhat reading this as Hurts is going to be gone in the next year. They're going to be trading Brown for probably a 1st. I'm sure they'll find somebody to trade for Hurts. Then they'll move up next year to grab the QB of their choice with whatever picks they accumulate, which could be at least one additional first.
They get the guy they want for the cost of 2 players they probably want to be done with anyway.
Even this year, we'd have a choice of Reese, Delane or Styles. Many years where that is not the case. Most years, I’d argue.
I think it absolutely depends on how this year goes without Brown. If they don't win the division, flame out in the playoffs or miss the playoffs entirely, I think there's a better than even chance this happens. It is SO Howie. He can re-set, re-load and try again with another QB on a rookie deal.I think this would be smart of them, and if anyone was going to do it, it would be Howie. But teams have a hard time moving off of their face of franchise QB’s, even the mediocre ones
