The 2026 Draft Thread - 1st Round - 7th overall

I have to believe this is Peters just trying to drive up the price for anyone that's thinking about moving ahead of Washington.
There’s no shot it’s real.

Huh. That’s a pretty specific report. Not a guy I remember breaking news about us in the past to be fair

I don't believe Baldy when it comes to things like this but I could see AP swinging somewhere for a trade at some point to get more offensive help, even after the draft

This could be a tumultuous night for KDawg! Except its been ordained we are selecting Tate.

Bingo. It’s already over. We’re drafting Tate. I have spoken.

Better hold your breath when Cleveland is up at 6 😁

Do you think Tate is a better prospect than Delane? Or is this you factoring in need because it’s close? You may have mentioned once or twice that you are worried about the receiver room lol, but also you’ve done a pretty good job of selling me on Delane….

😆 It will be up and running right after Mr. Irrelevant is announced. I can assure you of that.
Yeah know, I remember being the guy to start the "way too early draft" thread several years ago. I posted after the Week 2 game in September or something, and nearly got run off the board for it.

Now CH is a rock star for starting it before the rookies even get inside the building the first time. LOL

Our receiver room scares the ever living fuck out of me.

Corner does, too. But I have more confidence in Daronte and the changes to the defense to overcome that hurdle than I do with Blough and the young offensive coaches - not because they’re not capable of- but because they need to be supported as they develop, too.

That room is absolutely terrifying.

Delane is pretty good. I’d have no problem with him, Styles or Downs. But we better have a damned good plan on offense because otherwise this whole coaching staff is going to get the ol’ heave ho

He just makes it look so effortless.

I think Delane might be a half letter grade better than Tate. Given a needs curve that’s close enough to tip is to WR in my book.

But wouldn’t be upset if Delane was the pick at all.

The New York Giants finished in last place but the truth is they had several nice pieces like Dexter Lawrence and Thibodeaux to dangle out there and pick up high draft choices for Harbaugh to bring in his own players.

If Ron Rivera had left us with ANYONE that was still fairly young and worth their salt on the market this rebuild would have taken less time.

But he left the cupboard as bare as you will see it in the NFL for a new coach and GM.

He's right down there with Vinny Cerrato because both McLaurin and Jonathan Allen were drafted before 2020 so there are precious few players from that 2020-23 period that had any kind of lasting power.
