I recall the Sinnott pick being almost exclusively loved at the time.

I remember most people observing that it seemed like a reach, but hey it’s the guy who might’ve scouted Kittle in the mid rounds so must be a talented guy, we need that on our team

I’d add Ioane. But that’s a tough decision. And I hope we don’t wind up there. I’d probably be a little dissatisfied with any of them, and pissed that we beat the Eagles.

Haven’t really delved into draft prospects much, for one reason or another.

However, playing catch up…

Lemon looks the #1 WR in my eyes. Production machine, could see significant year 1 output. Could see he and Jayden working great.

Other player who stands out, Dillon Thieneman. Appreciate he’s not in the #7 discussion, keen to know if any of you draft nuts have a take on him?

I'll freely say I loved the Sinnot pick. I saw him do really good things for Kansas State, I knew he had great hands and was productive, and then he blew away the combine.

It seems to me it has become clear that Sinnot....how do I say this nicely...is lacking something between the ears. He just has not picked up the nuances of how to play NFL TE. How to attack a zone, etc. Coaches comments and the lack of targets from Jayden reveal they don't trust him to be in the right place.

That lack of football intelligence is not something we as fans can pick up on well from game tape or combine stats. We don't get to sit in on interviews. Unlike some others here, I'm not someone on here trying to establish a scouting resume, so I have no problem admitting I was way off.

I'm not sure if it's a lack of intelligence or he simply does not have the nuances of a good tight end. I heard a guy who was covering the team in camp say when you see Ertz and then Sinnott they are different animals. Could be what you are talking about, Sinnott just didn't have the feel Ertz has (had?).

True. I think the talk at the time was that another team was going to take him before the round closed out, so we had to make that move then.

Either way, big offseason for him, we sure could do with him kicking on significantly.

I’d rather have Tyson than Lemon if the rumors are true.

I think Fields, Boston and Germie are all in that range, too.

It’s Tate and then everyone else due to injuries, character, etc.

He just doesn't come across as the 'sharpest tool in the shed' and he clearly is nervous (at least in the combine interview).

Ok so Lemon might be a bit off the wall, not the worst trait in a WR. Looks like a baller to me who was keen to emphasise blocking stills before anything else.

We’ve had a ton of ‘super smart guys’ who quite frankly have been bang average.

But he’s not a #7 pick I will say that.

I feel like we've locked ourselves into receiver at #7--and I really don't like that. The receiver FA class was less than stellar, with only two real options apparently. We cannot go into the season relying on Lane, LMC, Jefferson, and Brown--and I like Lane and LMC, but they're not proven and that's a major gamble.

Funny enough I feel like we’ve done the same at RB. Running with White and Ford, while an improvement (just like our receiver situation) isn’t a great scenario.

Still time to make something happen at both positions, I guess. Not sure what aside from Aiyuk but…

Unless AP has a trade brewing, we have glaring needs at RB1 and WR2 that he may struggle to fix. Love dropping to #7, or even getting by #4 looks challenging at best.

Moving back in the first for a WR and getting a RB day two might work. But clearly there would be work to be done there. And the players to exist in those slots.

I’d strongly consider throwing multiple 2027 picks at the Jags for Thomas. I don’t buy their debunking of trade talk.

And that still doesn’t fix RB.

Other than Okonkwo, who henceforth will be knowns as Konk, we didn't exactly surround Daniels with weapons, which is disappointing. Not for lack effort, but the results are frustrating. Likewise, giving Travis Etienne $50m (I didn't see what the guarantees are) is a massive overpay, I am disappointed they didn't go harder after Walker.

I think Bill/White/Ford are more serviceable than what's currently behind McLaurin. I can see them adding an RB later in the draft, but I think Tate is their primary target in the draft.

Would you take Jennings in FA to fill the WR2/3 void ? Or you going WR early in the draft ?

And McLaurin is coming off an almost nothing season with his contract going up too much for 2027. So they actually need a #1 WR for the future.
