He might be holding in though, the jury isn't out on that one.
Hes not practicing with back tightness.
He says he'll practice when he feels good but who knows, this could be his way of playing jerry while also getting paid.

What’s the harm in offering Terry’s agent 3 options and telling him to pick one? Option 1 would focus on longevity, not too high $$-wise ($25m-$27m) but maybe 3 years with a player option to pick up a 4th year; Option 2 could focus on guaranteed money (>$30m) for two years but not for a third year (<$30m); and Option 3 could be a 3-year, incentive-laden contract where he could get paid “what he deserves/thinks he deserves” if he meets certain criteria.

If his agent declines, I’d remind him that Terry is still under contract, and the team has the right to franchise tag him in 2026.

(I know, I know: ^^ one of the many reasons I’m not a general manager 😆)

I’d like to continue winning playoff games and Quentin Johnston sucks. The 2nd is good in a vacuum but I don’t live in draft haul fantasyland since we made the NFCCG. I’d honestly rather make him play out his deal (and then franchise him) than settle for a likely late 2nd.

This is a shot across the bow for Terry McLauren. When any team media shows abbreviations of peoples' names, it's going to show that a WR named TM is present at camp. This is to show just how replaceable Terry is, as if that undrafted WR we saw the highlight clips a few pages ago wasn't enough.

My guess is they were turned off by the agent not engaging back and forth and just sticking to his original price. The agent I'd guess didn't get his orginal price for Chinn. But I'd guess that Peters was like I am not interested in a difficult negotiation for Chinn, who else is available?

But its ironic that Chinn is the one surprise (Keim among others were surprised) they didn't bring him back.

And I get some can say, how don't we know Peters wasn't the problem? Well, I doubt it, considering they brought back plenty of FAs.

Yes very ironic. One would think Chinn was one of the first players they approached about a new contract.

If they are able to extend Terry soon, that would allow them to settle into a roster comfort zone and perhaps look seriously at a player like Fant with the remaining cap space

TM being out has to irritate DQ to no end. Not from an Xs Os standpoint but the fact the first question he had to answer at camp was about TM. DQ prides himself in togetherness and team...so much more going on than having to navigate the TM distraction. Grand scheme TM will sign and all will be well, but I know this has to really irritate him in the short term.

Can i just say how happy I am that Harris and Co. are not swooping in and forcing the hand to sign Terry because of the fans? It's extremely refreshing to have an owner that's letting football people make football decisions.
