Fun fact. Sean Payton played QB for Leicester in the British national league at the same time I played QB for Preston. Mid 1980’s.hmmm I didn't realize Sean Payton played QB for the Broncos
Fair to say our football careers went in different directions from there.

The idea of signing an oft injured CB makes me worried. You only carry so many CB’s and Lattimore is also often out. Stacking multiple injury prone players at the same position seems like setting yourself up for them to be out at the same time and tank your season.

I assume you mean Latt. How many games did Sain miss while playing CB1,2,3 as a rookie.
Sainristil has been consistently healthy. Awuzie and Lattimore can split time injured. I’d love Awuzie on a lucrative one year prove it deal.

I meant Lattimore. Lattimore strikes me as similar to Trent. Even if he’s great, you’re likely not getting 16-17 games.

AJ Brown was already shit talking him as over rated this offseason. I like the new DB we signed, but we're still one injury away from only having Sain at CB.

That's because AJ Brown and Lattimore have a history.
But Washington traded for a player that was on the injured list in New Orleans and having him come in here and try and play on an injured hamstring at a demanding outside position was a bit unfair.
He played because the team needed secondary help that badly and it only set him back further in his recovery time.
If we had more than St. Juste and Co. at outside corner we probably should have kept Lattimore rehabbing until the postseason.
With a complete offseason to recover I think you see a much different player on the field.
From all indications 2025 is a defense heavy draft class, unlike 2024 where there were very few defensive players taken in the first round period.
It was all quarterbacks and offensive tackles.
We need to land a pass rushing DE and a cover corner with length among those picks.
Did anyone see the list of compensatory picks the Eagles are going to get in 2026 for those free agent losses?
#3, #4, #5 and #7.
That gives Roseman among the most picks in the NFL.
One reason I don't want to trade any of our top picks this year or next for Hendrickson.
We need to get this roster younger than it is to compete with the Eagles over the next 3-5 years.

From the games I watched Tunsil was one of the best pass protectors I saw at LT.
Teams consistently moved their rush ends around to the other side or loop inside to try and avoid the one on one matchup with #78.
It reminds me of what teams did when Jim Lachey was here in 1991. He didn't need any help and he didn't give up a sack during the regular season.

This team was blessed at LT for decades until Trent lost his shit and rolled out. Jacoby, Lachey, Samuels and Trent. Then bupkis until Tunsil.

I don't believe we gave up a bevy of draft picks for a 2 year rental. Restructure and an extension of contract has got to be coming soon.

I am not extending Lattimore until the season is over. He needs to prove he can stay healthy for a season. Worst case you can franchise him if he balls out. Tunsil and Terry reworks can clear 40-50 mill in cap space. And they are the only two I am touching right now.
