The 2025 Free Agency Thread

I think we need someone with more speed than Cooper - I don't know that he fits as a #3 alongside Terry And Deebo. We still have our first and second round picks this year left - I can see us using one on a receiver. Terry and Deebo are both 29. We need some youth behind/alongside them.
So, I totally agree about the need youth/speed. My guess is receiver in the 3rd-5th (after a trade back nets us an extra pick or 2). With that said, it seems to me we could still use a savvy vet who’s a route technician/plus blocker. Sort of a money down type (ie reduced snaps) like Santana under Shanahan as he got older.

I didn’t expect our Christmas List to be delivered in this short a period.

Deebo Samuel - #2 wide receiver

Javon Kinlaw - under 30 inside defensive lineman

Laremy Tunsil - franchise LT

All we are missing from the top of the list is an edge rusher which I now expect to be our pick at #29 in April.

Samuel at $16M and Tunsil at $21M for 2025 is good value in this market where lesser players are making more.

I think we need a #3 receiver now, a younger guy that can understudy.

Kupp is a former all pro, I don’t see him coming here to be a backup to Terry.

Would definitely love Kupp. And Bulldog I would say CB is at the top of our wishlist and will remain there until we find one.

Deebo should be great as a Swiss army knife and possession receiver who gets YAC and moves the chains.
McLaurin is great at contested balls and the intermediate routes. He's also pretty good at tracking the ball on deep shots.
I'd love for the third guy to be a speed merchant who scares safeties and makes them stay back. Not sure if that could be Luke or Gallop, but an awful lot of receivers at the Combine ran 4.3 or faster.

Terry did ok as a field stretcher but yeah we need speed. Nabbing two lineman today, it does open the door come draft day. I wanted young WRs taken to grow with JD5 but Jayden and our offense did fine without anyone. Yeah sorry Luke. You could literally see JD5 slowly forming trust with WRs. I think Terry had to tell him to JUST THROW ME THE BALL before he heaved a few deep for Terry to reel in. Noah slowly became a favorite before injury. You could see Dyami finally get trusted late in the year. Early in the year Luke was wide open quite a few times but pure speculation is my theory that JD5 didn't trust him yet. Deebo - no issues anticipated there as he is going to be the primary on our screens and JD5 WILL be getting him his looks.

Anyone WR we draft I hope JD5 approves. Maybe someone from LSU off the radar if anyone is left/coming out on draft day.

Peters hasn’t really used free agency yet to make his biggest moves.

Samuel and Tunsil were trades.

He has given up picks but the contracts so far are very reasonable compared to peers around the league.
