The 2025 Free Agency Thread

Kinlaw's reputation has not been as a nose tackle type. though He can defend the run but its more by penetrating or using his long arms to shed a single blocker. He has never been a nose tackle type (1 or 2 technique) guy that is good at taking on double teams. He has been more of a 3 technique guy (on the guards outside should where it would be harder for center and guard to double him). Not saying he absolutely cannot do that, but it hasn't been reputation. His reputation for taking on double teams is meh. I just don't think Quinn really values NT types.
I dont think he will play inside. I think he will play more 3/5tech or even some 7 tech on running downs.

We haven’t signed anyone I thought we would go after.

DQ's Red Bryant from his days in Seattle.

Yea, Logan was on with Craig Hoffman a little bit ago and he is super excited to see what they're going to do with Kinlaw. The Jets had him bulk up but one thing this staff does is find what guys do best. Apparently, he has a really quick get off and Logan mentioned it's possible they slim him back down and move him outside for example. We'll see

Still good options available (I think) to help the D…

Jevon Holland

CB Murphy

LB Greenlaw

Edge- z smith or Bosa for 1 year as mentor to go with first round pick?

Late to the party of this but LOVE the Tunsil trade. We added a blue chip player at a blue chip position. We need more blue chip guys and the price was very reasonable in terms of draft capital to add a guy like this.

I assume we move Coleman to RT and Wylie to RG. Tunsil is under contract this year and next at $21M per - wonder if we extend him.

I think this probably says we aren't going to look at something more expensive, like Slayton. Fine with that.
We already have two WRs on big deals and needs at CB and Edge on D. I think we go cheaper at WR later in free agency and also look at the draft.

I will take Amari Cooper if the price is right. Even if its wrong since it aint my money. Maybe he's available on the cheap? Pass on drama Diggs. Maybe we will try to nab Kupp on the cheap this summer.

Noah if he comes back has injury concerns. Luke remains raw in all likelihood. Olamide will likely come back but meh. We are running out of draft picks after making a HUGE win now move for an LT. Have JD5 fire up Cooper in his VR and see if they click.

What do we still need? Edge, CB, S, WR, RB?

I wonder if they feel urgency with safety and WR? Logan Paulsen on with Craig Hoffman this evening mentioned they really like Percy Butler and drafted Dominque Hampton last year to potentially play big nickel. He also said they can easily find WR2/3 in later rounds of the draft if they chose too. We'll see.

I think we need someone with more speed than Cooper - I don't know that he fits as a #3 alongside Terry And Deebo. We still have our first and second round picks this year left - I can see us using one on a receiver. Terry and Deebo are both 29. We need some youth behind/alongside them.

Agree with all of that. And there is a pretty good chance Safety might be best player available at 29 as well. Emmanwori specifically intrigues me there.

Big No to Cooper for me. He wasn’t good with Josh Allen last year. Not sure why anyone would want him at this point.
