The 2025 Free Agency Thread

only 5 draft picks left. Oh well. Having a proven stud at LT is a luxury we haven't had for a minute.

I don't think we are down another pick this year, we basically just swap a 3rd for a 4th this year. Then we lose a 2nd and 4th next year.

Edit: Missed the 7th, so you were right

Anyone know if it is this years or next years 4th we are getting back? If it is this years it is a pretty brilliant trade for us. Would still have 6 picks.
We're getting a '25 fourth rounder back and Tunsil for this year's 3rd, a 7th, and next year's 2nd and fourth.

We give up 2025 3rd and 7th. 2026 2nd and 4th. We get Tunsil and 2025 4th.

Is one else having a HOLY S*** moment right now?

We have an effing serious LT!!!

I didn't see that one coming at all (which is a great job by the new regime keeping it on the QT).
And almost certainly a better OT than one who'd be available at pick 29

I would imagine we probably have an extension in place for Tunsil to lower his cap hit some. But we will see.

I think these two trades (Deebo and Tunsil) suggest that Peters was underwhelmed with this year's free agency crop. He wanted to spend but didn't want to pay great for good or good for average. So, he went the trade route.

Big time trade. Teams are paying Dan Moore who gave up the most sacks in the league 20 plus million a year. The draft is meh at that spot especially at 29. It's clear that the market for O line has gotten scarce. And Peters out of nowhere secures one of the best LT's in the game. Wow.

And a 2nd and 4th next year is basically the equivalent of a 3rd and 5th this year. Picks are more valued in the current year.

I don't care about the 3rd for the 4th.

Tunsil only has 2 years on his deal, extension and moving money is also on the table

With the amount of players we still need, I think AP trades our 1st and possibly our 2nd round pick for more this year in the upcoming draft. I also think the Hendrickson deal is off now.

his price right now is great. However, a restructure with the salary cap increasing in future years would put us in great shape. A CB here and money left over, with our draft picks makes it a great off season. Probably, can pick up a good RB in the fourth.
