The 2025 Free Agency Thread

Something that fans use to love to point at was the 49ers trading Buckner for a 1rst round pick.

They then drafted Kinlaw with that draft pick, he was a bust and the 49ers had to give Hargrave 4/$84 to fix the hole they created.

Complete shit move by the 49ers that set them back for a couple years, because of the hole they created in their DL.

Now he's on our DL.

Didn't see him coming here, especially as the first FA move

My main issues with this signing is it did nothing to make us a better team. Outrageous contract aside I’m more baffled at the player and why he was the choice here. Lynch/AP declined his 5th year and let him walk. This isn’t a sky is falling post it’s just a major head scratcher as we are maybe even worse upfront now. I’ll happily be wrong

Well when they declined the 5th year option, he was coming off two season ending injuries

Though his name is probably poison here, whenever I see the word guarantee in contract terms, I think to myself NFL players owe a debt to that rat Kirk Cousins. He may have never done it on the field, but he sure knew how to work contracts.

Yeah, I didn't even realize he was still in the league.

If he balls out, it'll be a great signing for us.
For sure. I expected the first signing to be more significant or else hear the resigned Chinn or Lucas. Some of these teams are hammering FA , filling their holes

Kinlaw played 60% of defensive snaps last season for the Jets. Has a pretty decent stat line as well. I am guessing at 27 years old they see him as an ascending player:

Well that certainly sucked all of the enthusiasm out of this room.. 1 questionable move and it's crickets
The whole NFL brakes :ROFLMAO:

But it wasn't a move that can hurt that much other than the CAP hit
