Finlay reporting we signed Way to one year deal.

I think they are exploring the possibility they don't need a punter on the roster in 2026 with how good the offense might be.I thought Tress would get a multi year deal. Glad we got him signed though. I wonder if signing him to a one year deal opens up competition this year.
Yeah, Tress punted about a 1/3 less last season. It seemed like it anyway. LOLI think they are exploring the possibility they don't need a punter on the roster in 2026 with how good the offense might be.
Well it's obvious that he reads this board! All the guys we said are must haves for Peters are back in the fold before 12 noon - Ertz, Wagner, Bates, Way. The guy just gets it.
Didn’t see this on Fowler’s page, so guessing it was a TV segment? Can’t vouch that this guys paraphrase is correct, for the record
I expect it will be a record deal which by that time will probably be edging toward half a billion. With the money being thrown around with these new contracts I just believe it has to stop at some point. Can only imagine what Daniels will get with his next deal.
I do wonder about Noah's health. Getting hit so hard you have a kidney injury is no joke. So, let's see how that one plays out.
Diyami ... he's a really good blocker, was a good locker room guy, fully bought in. But he didn't really materialize as a receiving threat until he literally had to because everybody else got hurt. I'm pretty sure they would have him back, but if I was him, I'd at least want to test the market and see if somebody was willing to make him a bigger offer.
I also think they believe they have already partially replaced Brown with Deebo from the blocking aspect, and they can figure out a guy who can stretch the field.
But I agree, as soon as the end of the day today or tomorrow, that room might look very different.
You are not alone at all. Way is a good punter. He is old and far from the best in the league.I’m glad he’s back(and I’m sure I’m alone in this) but I wouldn’t mind seeing some competition at punter in training camp.
Even when he finally had a few good games, it was marred by drops and fumbles. Nothing against the guy but he’s maybe a JAG at best, we can do a lot better.Regarding Dyami, at the risk of sounding super obvious... he did nothing until everyone was hurt (as you stated) and did nothing until we got Daniels. There is a category of WR that can produce when placed with an elite QB (just look at the Randos that Brady, Manning, and Brees elevated). It still requires a good deal of work and skill.... but it's also a category of player that is generally available for a modest price. There are probably 10+ out there in FA right now, maybe more.
