Moses coming in and if you can kick Wylie inside to RG or to LG with Allegretti shifting to RG, you potentially have an OLine. Not an ideal one, but you'd have one. Coleman, Allegretti, Biadasz, Wylie, Moses.

Would be okay, not great. The thing it would do is sort of alleviate some of the pressure to draft OL early.

I hear, he is leading competent lineman down from the Mount.
 
Bates is good for about one meaningful catch per season. I think they should skip Moses and makes Bates the RT. Considering he's a terrific run blocker and our run blocking sucks, he can at least be a better pass catching option when he gets ignored. He only needs to bulk up by 50 pounds, I'm sure it'll be fine.
 
Washington needs to start getting younger.

For a team with a lot of turnover and featuring a rookie quarterback in 2024, we were still older at a number of spots.

It’s fine to do this to help bridge the gap but it’s time to focus on being aggressive with acquiring core players under 30 that are going to be here with Daniels during his rookie deal and grow with him.

I might pick up Moses at RT but that wouldn’t stop me from looking for OT and OG in the draft.

He would be more of an insurance policy in case we don’t find a bona fide pick to come in and nail down a spot.

Again we did a great job with a number of older vets in 2024 but the team needs to start looking more to the intermediate to long term now in terms of snagging younger free agents we lock up in multi year deals and perhaps trading back and picking up more picks in the draft.
 
Bates, and two core team leaders in Ertz and Wagner is a solid start to the offseason.

If we add some guys to the core who are going to be able to help this team grow for the next 3-5 seasons over the first few days of FA, colour me estatic.
 
Bates is a great resigning. Especially for a team with questionable blocking keeping him in the fold is big. I was watching an Ertz interview this morning and he was going on about Bates being the best blocking TE in the league.

On that topic, one reason Kansas City was so aggressive in re-signing Hollywood Brown (he’s back on a one-year, $10 million deal) is because the Chiefs anticipate the market being hot for downfield weapons. And so guys such as the New York Giants’ Darius Slayton and Washington’s Dyami Brown, who we mentioned in our free-agency forecast, should do well.

• I don’t see the Bengals moving Trey Hendrickson for less than a second-round pick. It’s a tricky spot for Cincinnati to be in—finding a team to give up a premium pick and $30 million (or more) per year for a 31-year-old pass rusher isn’t easy. Hendrickson’s camp at one point told the Bengals they could bring home a first-rounder for him, but that hasn’t happened.
 
All the guys we said are must haves for Peters are back in the fold before 12 noon - Ertz, Wagner, Bates, Way. The guy just gets it.
 
I’m glad he’s back(and I’m sure I’m alone in this) but I wouldn’t mind seeing some competition at punter in training camp.

Not alone. Tress has been a stalwart for this team for over a decade, but there are numerous excellent, young punters in the league now, and Tress ain’t getting any younger.
 
Maybe Dyami Brown will "sign" with the Ravens.

But never play there. Like what's his name... Ryan Grant

Who disappeared into obscurity, it seems.

Dyami fumbling is my last memory. Sure he improved this year into a bit of a possession receiver, but it's not really... him. Another Ron causality in 3, 2,

Yeah the only time I recall him doing anything good was the end of this season. I do think of him dropping big passes and fumbling. He will get a big contract based on the end of the year performance, good for him as long as it isn't with Washington.
