Bobby being back is big. Guessing it's mostly an 8M contract with some tough-to-hit incentives to get to 9.5. But glad they made it work. He's a leader of men and will help ensure the culture is sufficiently instilled so that it becomes self-perpetuating.

Probably does put some pressure on us to move Allen tho. Assuming it's 8M against the cap, that brings our effective cap space down to 50Mish.

Wiley is the other big potential savings, cutting him saves us another 7.7M but obvs we need to figure out RT first. And we might not be able to do that.

Terry extension could also free up more money.

OT from 49ers Moore might be a target so possibly move Coleman to RT. Ekeler might be released due to concussions and save us around 4M.

Would like Moore and Becton. Some are saying Wiley is a good value for what he is paid. (Logan Thomas)

I think it's more likely they leverage that to kick Coleman inside and keep Wylie at RT pending what happens in the draft. At the very least, I think they can take a developmental tackle type to sit behind Wylie for a year

I watch the games again now that football is over. I have to say I have overrated Coleman and underrated Wylie all season. We all knew Bobby Wagner would return but the price is larger than I was thinking.
 
9.5M seems like a premium for Bobby Wagner, but he is a premium player who offers so much more than his play on the field.

Ive been doing the same, found that I forgot a whole lot more about the season than I remembered. lol
What kind of stuck out to me about our season is just how close things were, obviously I knew we had a lot of games come right down to the wire but I came away thinking we had an awful lot of moments go our way (hate to use the word luck because preparation also played a huge factor). All things being equal (which of course they aren't) this team will have to replicate the heart and desire of last year to even come close. Upgrades in personnel and familiarity in the scheme will be huge but will the desire still be the same? Hopefully upgrades will offset a possible reversal of some of the fortunate bounces of last year.

I banged the table some for Moehrig, though he wasn't my top want in the first. I dig bang the table for Quan Martin -- and I do think he's good. But they play a lot of three safety sets so Moehrig could be useful.

If I was to redraft 2021, our 1rst should have been Darrisaw or even Landon Dickerson, both of whom I liked a ton.

While Cosmi has been pretty good for us, if we did grab Darrisaw in the 1rst, we had our choice of JOK, Bolton and Werner who all should have gone before Davis.

Our crew would have made a better draft room, than we've actually had in a long time. That's just wild.
 
2021 I would have hands down taking Darrisaw in the 1st. Ronny didn't take him in the first I was beating the table for Cosmi in the 2nd.

If we had taken Darrisaw I would have been on JOK, Bolton or Werner in the 2nd.

If we had a higher 2nd rounder I would have liked Moehrig. I still cant believe he fell to 43 just like I can't believe Darrisaw fell to us and Ronny let him go damn him.

How does this work if the player refuses to play? Obviously he wont get paid for games missed, if he misses multiple games / season can he be suspended? If he sits out for the year will he automatically become a free agent the next year (assuming his contract has expired) would a suspension follow the player after contract expiration? Many players couldn't afford it but I would assume MG has the resources to dig in. MG also signed through 2026.
