I am probably in the minority and that's ok but I don't want Myles Garrett on this team. I hope that AP builds the future in DC via the draft and makes great moves in FA like he did last year.

I just can't imagine him playing in Cleveland again. He's going to make it ugly.
Also, Trey Smith got franchised.

After delving into the draft stuff (albeit lightly), I think I’ve landed on corner and OL as the only spots I feel like we absolutely have to upgrade in FA. Wouldn’t mind a high end receiver or Dlineman of course, but don’t feel the same pressure. We got by just find with just ok guys around Terry, and we’ve got a good shot at drafting two good Dlinemen.

Landon Jackson is one of my favorites! Dude must be a favorite of Whitt and DQ too. He and a space eater in the middle would be a gigantic improvement. This guy is a high intensity fun wrecking ball whose good against the run and great QB attacker.

If we do not sign him we will probably do worse next year and we will get better draft choices. We need to win the off season

Sure. I'd like to see us spend our 1st rounder and other picks (it would cost to get Garrett) on the future. AP did a phenomenal job in both the draft and free agency.

I get that line of thinking in the past, and for different (lesser) players. But this feels different. 4-time All Pro, former DPOY and not even 30 yet, and this is the type of move we wont be able to make once Jayden is on his 2nd contract. By then, even if you traded a first (or two) for Garrett in 25, you will have had 4 drafts worth of 2nd and 3rd and 4th rounders where Peters earns his keep and the pipeline will have been well flowing for a while and then we won't have the talent deficit that we do now. Helps us close the gap in a big way and take advantage of Jayden's rookie contract.

Not really hip on a player not wanting to negotiate his contract because he wants to play on a winning team. How'd we feel as fans if this was happening on our team. I'm not down with it. I'd rather let AP do the job he was brought into do and let him buy the groceries both in the draft and free agency. I'm hoping AP keeps the pick(s) and builds the team and continues to get the players he wants in free agency too. I understand the deal about Jayden and his next contract but I think AP sees the big picture both now and in the future.

All Myles has to do is come out and say I won't go to Philly and he'll quickly become my favorite player. He's saying all the right things right now to work his way out of town. If they play hard ball until after the draft that works in our favor with not having to trade our current drafts picks. Interested to see how this shakes out, holding out some hope he winds up in Washington.

Honestly, I wouldn't like it if it had happened to us but I would understand given where we've been as a team for, well, decades. He's given the Browns 8 seasons, feels like enough good faith to me. And I think I disagree with the idea that if we trade for Garrett, it's not AP doing his job. Any personnel move this team makes is AP doing his job.
If he doesn't sit right with you, cool, that's fair and I get it, but I would ask myself, what is the reaction if the Eagles make this trade? If it's "Oh shit..." then we should be the ones trying to illicit that reaction.

It would be crazy if Garrett truly stuck to his guns and eventually all the Browns got was that compensatory third. That would put the Browns at Bruce Allen levels of stupidity.
He fits the profile to a tee. Can stop the run, great motor, freakish atthleticism.

How much would he cost us for the year, against the salary cap. I found spotrac confusing in that regard.
I wouldn’t love this move. I think Deebo’s star has faded a good bit.

Deebo is fat, slow and not good for a locker-room. Hard pass for me. I would prefer Cupp 10 times over deebo. And would offer to trade Allen to the rams for him. No picks
I was a huge fan of Deebo coming out of college. I must admit as exciting as it sounds to have him with Terry, his ability to stay healthy and the beating he took the last couple years scares me. And then to give something other than just cap space to get him, me no like. However, perhaps AP can work some magic
