I think I go Kirk given age and familiarity with Kliff. I think the issue with Deebo is you really have to plan around him and he’s hurt all the time.

Going back to something earlier in the thread regarding RBs. I think it's not so much that RB's are undervalued overall it's that at any given skill position there is going to be 4-5 (approx) elite players that will absolutely completely change your roster and for that select group it is worth paying them, but otherwise you are going to be more modest with handing out contracts. I think a good contrast is Barkley vs Henry. Barkley is still very much in his prime and is the complete package at the position so it is worth paying him. Henry on the other hand was more of a "veteran with some tread left that is a great fit for this specific role" who also helped out a contender but in a different way.
I'd consider going after Davante Adams if he gets released. Yeah he just turned 32, but he clearly still has plenty left in the tank. Even with a 90 year old Rodgers he still put up some good numbers last year.

I read somewhere that was saying that Brandon Cooks would be a good signing for 5 or so Million but I don't know if I would take him over Dyami Brown. Noah Brown should be back too.
I'm just not seeing them paying a dude like Higgins or Godwin 25-30M when they can definitely get a decent WR for sub 10M. Probably can get 3-4 of them for what Higgins is going to get.

I'd be good with him or Deandre Hopkins who put up decent stats too, not as good as Adams if they are cheap. I suspect Hopkins ends up cheap and Adams isn't cheap but will see. I think I saw somewhere that Adams ideally wants to be in California and or west coast. Same for K. Mack.

Jayden Daniels is the ultimate equalizer and makes everyone around him better. Sure, improve the receiving core, but spending boatloads on a Higgins type is not the route to go in my opinion. I would rather make a heavy investment in the OL and acquire three to four players there to fill starting spots/depth, and then let Daniels have the benefit of having 5 seconds to work with to find a receiver. DBs can't cover top receivers forever. They can't cover better than average receivers forever either. Trenches.

I’m with this. Spend the $$$ on trenches (and corners). Jayden has already shown he can make it work with mid receivers.
I think where we focus in FA just depends on the quality of available talent. We need help in the trenches and receiver. I also don't think they're mutually exclusive, we should be able to sign high quality guys without having to reset the market for the position.
Neglecting WR would be just as much of a mistake as neglecting the line IMO. Sure, JD can make mediocre receivers look better than they are...but then imagine what he could do with extra top notch talent.

I think the focus, but also the duration. If we see a lot more 1-year prove it deals then I think that Peters has determined that free agency lacks long term fixes again. Based on what I'm reading do expect somewhat of a repeat of last year in terms of contract length.
What is Wagner worth to the team? He was great last year as a player and a leader, but he is 34. Age is undefeated over the course of history...but he was still amongst the very best last year. What do you think one more year will cost and should cost? I am torn. To me 34 is still whipper-snapper youngin territory, but I'm old enough to have seen great players age.

He's probably going to get about what he did last year. I doubt some team all of a sudden wants to pay him more than they did any of the past 3 seasons when he signed one year deals.

Well, I agree we can upgrade WR2 without breaking the bank. But I’m looking at OL, DL, CB as being higher on the priority list. If we can get high-quality guys in all those spots as you say, then great! But if we have to skimp somewhere, I’m just thinking receiver is where we could get away with it.

The question here is just “how?” The list of tackles in FA isn't great and at 29, getting an obvious upgrade is tough.
I’m sure they would love to upgrade Ana move Coleman either inside or to the right side.
The question is how you upgrade.
I do think they should bring back Lucas. He’s a perfect backup swing tackle. And inexpensive.
The bigger question is how they upgrade from Wiley and how they back fill for Cosmi. I don’t know they can do all of this in one off season with the FA assets available and the draft capital they have.

First of all, I think it's quite possible the team is very happy with what they saw from Coleman at LT (in the context of coming off injury, him being a rookie, and the challenges of his first season at one of the most demanding positions on the roster). But even if they did decide he's not their LT for the future, a likely long-term replacement isn't apparent in FA, and we lack the draft capital to go after a sure fire starter there.
True, a lot of this really does depend on how they feel about Coleman. If they like his potential and believe he can become a top notch LT with work then it probably wouldn't make sense to spend big money on a guy like Stanley and they'd likely look for more solid guys who can come in and contribute in various areas. But if they aren't quite sure about Coleman then I could see them swinging big for Stanley, though that will depend on how much he's looking for. If it's reasonable (say, 3 years at $20m per year, which would put him in top 10 but not top 5 paid Tackles) then I think it would make sense.

DHop is interesting. PFF loves him but I worry he may not be able to really separate at this point - I believe this worry is why he got a $13M AAV contract in the first place despite being a potential future HOFer at only age 30 at the time. This feels weird to say but I may actually want Dyami instead of him as my starting outside receiver given where both guys are at at this point in their careers.
I think you are right on Khalil Mack. I would love to have him but doesn't seem like he is leaving LA. If he stays in LA, we should hope he is planning on going back to the Chargers so that they let Bosa go. He'd be a real target for us - Lynn was his HC and Donatell spent 3 years with him on the Staley staff & AP obviously knows his brother well
Sign or draft a tackle. They have to do this.
Then you move Wiley inside to RG while Cosmi rehabs. If we can add a quality starter at either OT or OG in free agency and draft someone in the first or second round who can start we could end up with Wiley as the primary backup at both OT and G which is probably the ideal outcome.
The focus of the off-season needs to be upgrading the O’Line, D’line and corner. Which is easier said than done obviously.
I'd be lying if I said I watched much of Hopkins lately so i don't know. I have watched plenty of Slayton. I know I'd want him if the price is right. I watched a ton of Elijah Moore in college, he was one of my favs, he's not been as good as I thought he would be in the pros but I'd still like him as a good price.
If he's healthy and cheapish, I'd like D. Lawrence. He's a complete edge, very good run stopper too.
