I thing Goodwin would be a great addition in the WR room that wouldn't break the bank. he is sort of a Terry clone.. runs hard, blocks, great hands. Coming off injury so could be had at a discount no draft comp required since Bucs plan to cut him.

Ward would be a great get for our backfield. I am wondering if AP would be looking more at a CB like Adebo coming off an injury or others in similar situations from San Fran like LB Greenlaw or S Hufanga. Young, good and possibly not overly expensive whether a one year prove it deal or a better contract.

That is correct. He has taken about 55% of his career snaps from the slot. Early in his career he was used more of a deep and intermediate threat with 10+ yards average depth of targets his first 4 seasons in the NFL, but in his last four seasons he has only exceeded that once (10.3 yards in 2023 with 2 out of the last 3 years being under 6.5 yards average depth of target. He ran a 4.42 at the combine so he has solid speed, but never was a true burner (he is 6'1) and he has probably lost a little bit of speed as he got older. That said I think he can probably run routes at all three levels and probably is best suited for underneath and intermediate routes. He is maybe a better version of Jahan Dotson who also came from Penn St.

Could be a good fit here alongside Terry since the prototypical WR1 type isn’t materializing in FA. A cheaper pickup than taking a run at Godwin, too. Add one more talented receiver in the draft and that WR room would be looking a lot more talented

Probably because the jags overpaid him and the Cardinals didn't want to match that.

The Jags were one of the teams that blew up WR pay because every receiver after that demanded a lot more than what average Christian Kirk got.

Yep, they gave him 72 million for 4 years. It was a crazy contract at the time. There was no way Arizona was going to match that.

He was pretty famously overpaid by the Jags that offseason. It actually ended up normalizing into an only slightly overpaid contract after a year or two of insane WR inflation but at the time the Christian Kirk contract was like, the modern face of overpaying B+ players with A+ money.

I think we need to bring in either two tackles or a tackle+guard in FA. I'd be fine if they passed on taking an OL in this draft. I don't want to be forced to take a tackle or guard in round 1 and, by the time you get to late round 2, you can't really count on the guy you are picking there to be a day 1 starter.

I am definitely up for going to town on the DL in the draft. There are starting caliber DTs who will be there all the way to rounds 3 and 4 and there are probably 10 EDGE players who have a good chance of making an impact in a rotation immediately.

Best team fit: Washington Commanders

The Commanders could pair Higgins with Terry McLaurin to give quarterback Jayden Daniels two true difference-makers on the perimeter. At 6-foot-4 and 219 pounds, Higgins can win at all three levels of the route tree in OC Kliff Kingsbury's system. And with 23 career red zone touchdown catches, he would be a top target for Daniels close to the end zone. Injuries limited him to 12 games in 2024, yet he finished with 73 receptions for 911 yards.

Best team fit: Washington Commanders

Reddick might be looking at a short-term deal after holding out to start the 2024 season before being traded to the Jets. But he has a history of making impact plays, with 59 sacks and 18 forced fumbles over his career. And before last season, he put together three straight campaigns with a pass rush win rate over 20%. Reddick would fill a need for the Commanders on the edge, and I like the fit as a schemed rusher in Dan Quinn's defense.

Understand that desire, but it seems like Godwin complements Terry well because he is best in the slot. What if we go and sign a Hollywood Brown as a field stretcher... Terry, Godwin, Hollywood sounds good to me!

I think we almost have to address O’line and DT/Edge in free agency. Very risky to go into the draft without having already added a quality starter on both lines.
