The 2025 Draft Thread

I'm hoping APR but am thinking AP spends it on FSU PK Fitzpatrick.

I doubt it. Should just get a kicker with the last pick if you don't think you can get one in FA.

Couple good OT's still out there too. Maybe they double down.

I remember baking in the heat in Tampa and saying on ES more Ekeler and less Robinson in game 1. Week #3 really bad against Cincy. Week #5 really bad against the Browns. He had 2 of his three 100 yard games early. And Ekeler filled in well early in the season when Robinson struggled so it felt like the running game was going good because someone was hot enough early in the season.

But Robinson bounced from bad game to good game throughout the season. I agree he doesn't suck. He's IMO a JAG. So so. Some of that is on the O line. But he also had an offense geared to stop Jayden with RPOs-RO and it translated for same old same old for him.

I said this weeks ago. And it wasn't about taking a shot at him but more about this RB class -- IMO even the 4th tier group of RBs, the late rounders, has a bunch who I believe are better than Robinson.

Ha I was there too. Wanted to always be able to say was at JDs first game. Good god was it hot.

Who the hell is that :ROFLMAO:
Need some info on him from our resident researchers LOL

LB.

Well they obviously gotta thing for Robinson. They didn't want any of the RB's.

He's gonna be Peters/DQ's Samaje Perine.

It’s going to be hilarious when DQ has that dumbfounded look on his face in the middle of October when we can’t convert on a third and three

Said he was the fasted LB at the combine

It’s as unsexy as it gets but man, I don’t need to see the OCD routine every time next year. Hitting on a real PK is probably more impactful than anything else they can pull here.

Also feels like some of these same RBs might be there in the 7th or UDFA.

Medrano is built more like a strong safety than a true linebacker, but he tested out as an elite athlete with outstanding speed and explosiveness. His 20.7% career missed tackle rate is in the 0th percentile. Play strength will always be a question, but Medrano can match up against tight ends in man coverage and will need to impact special teams.

Kain Medrano, UCLA (6-3, 228, 4.48)

Said one scout: “Ran like a deer at the combine. He was the fastest out of that linebacker group. He’s a converted safety who doesn’t really know how to play inside the box very well yet. He’s going to have to get stronger and tackle better and get off blocks a lot better. I don’t think he’s a green dot.”

We had three picks and two of them should’ve been slam dunk selections in running back and kicker. Instead we drafted a returner high and a LB who will be 4th on the depth chart at best.

Wasn’t expected a LB but another great athlete and some help on defense.

Logan Paulsen a few days ago picked him as one of his fav players in this draft, talked him up as very instinctive in coverage and can match up so well on that front.
