Seems like a great pick. Camouflaged by poor QB play, but dynamic athlete, great separator per PFF, hands catcher with big mitts, YAC demon, returner
Not a good sign for McCaffrey being more than a depth/ST’s glue guy I guess. But I’m happy to see Peters be willing to take a do over when necessary (and he could still develop, not trying to be negative—but Lane is instantly better)

Loved the first two picks. Don’t see Lane contributing much as an actual receiver. Feels like they drafted our KR/PR which, that’s cool, we need that, but I’d probably have preferred a different direction. Special teams matter though and kickoff returns are coming back, so I don’t mind it. As a receiver though, I’m not loving what I see. And he looks slower than his 40. Hope I’m wrong and he blows it up.
McShay must be absolutely in love with our draft, he loved Conerly too

Lane can play slot and be productive early.
Don’t know too much about Lane but apparently he’s got speed and that’s something we need to continue to add.
He returns punts so he’s got a chance to be active and get some touches on screens and jet sweeps etc.
Defense needs help - but from here it’s more about depth and developmental picks realistically. Think we will be active looking at players released and scanning the late camp cuts for help on that side of the ball.
Edge is the big need. Going to have to scheme some pressure and sacks.

Yes, but how we need a true EDGE. We can get by on S play with who we have but I think an EDGE is needed.
Watch him and I think you will feel differenty. He can do everything for a speed WR. Yac. Deep threat. The punt returns is the bonus not the plot
