I am usually good at Keim code so to speak but color me confused about Green. He said yesterday he knows they are interested in him, suspects they could take him, but if he drops he sees it as a red flag and if so this team might consider a red flag, too. But now he mentions him again. I love that he has Stewart on this list, that's the first time I've seen his name mentioned from him. Sawyer somewhat new too -- his personality fits that whole culture thing. I like him as a player but short arms, didn't run, I wonder?
Id be shocked with Sawyer was on our board, his RAS probably would have been extremely low if he tested.
The "easy media story" often gets it wrong, for sure, as well as a lot of groupthink. I think it's hard for the NFL to gauge how coachable he is though, and that does matter. All I am saying is, his NFL coach will, for the first time in his football career, not be his Dad. Isn't that unique? That type of unique scares a lot of the NFL. He could easily be the steal of the draft, maybe even the "steal" of the last few years. From the NFL perspective, some risk, really high reward perhaps. I think he'll get taken in the second for that reason.
I compare it a bit to the "Ball family" in the NBA. Deion may have way more opinions that are even more "problematic" given the NFL pedigree, too. I liked Shadeur's response video to dropping out of the 1st as well. There is also talk that teams don't view any QB outside of the 1st rounders as starting QBs for now (and NYG isn't even starting Dart by the looks). If so, that could also be a big projected problem; if he was adamant that he is a day-1 starter type, and projected himself in interviews like he wouldn't be happy sitting. From what you are saying, I wouldn't expect that to be the case though.
Give me an EDGE/CB that falls at 2.61 assuming we don't have a dance partner.
I want Jaydon Blue in Day 3
To each their own but the only time I favor raw over developed is if its a freak athlete which doesn't pertain to this player.
Exactly this. Based on last year, that also seeps to be AP’s norm.
I’d way rather have a freak like Darrien Porter at 61 than just a solid guy, if both need development.
Also, I think I could really root for a guy like JTT or David Walker. We’ve talked about JTT a good bit, but I really like Walker. Small school guy, and short, with short arms, but a good athlete, and just plays like a literal bull. His senior bowl practice reps looked dominant and he also had 2 sacks in the game. I think a really physical guy like JTT or Walker could really fit our culture.
And speaking to the physical 49’ers teams that you’ve referenced, SIP, a real that is just super physical all across the board can be hard even for more, “talented” teams to hang with.

I think Ron’s first round picks were probably ecstatic, considering they were all expecting to go in the second roundIt feels so amazing to watch stuff like this after what we’ve been through with this team. A totally competent, professional organization, that has a QB and won a bunch of games last year, that now looks like a place people would want to play.
This makes me think about how all of those 1st rounders in the past must have felt when drafted by the Redskins/Commanders.
