Just watched Oladejo's highlights, need to get to watching his games. As for the highlights, some nice plays blowing up the run, which he has a good reputation for. Saw different numbers as to his sack totals. PFf has him at 7. Good length. Elite explosion numbers at the combine. Have seen some buzz for the late first, but mostly 2nd round, early 3rd.

He had a big Senior Bowl week, including 2 sacks in the game.

Oluwafemi Oladejo isn't worth our #29 but I can see us taking him with a mid 2nd round pick if we trade back.

Yeah agree, judging by most mocks (not all), he'd be a trade down target in the 2nd.

A name that continues to buzz — UCLA ED Femi Oladejo, who is currently on a 30 visit with the Commanders this afternoon. Versatile defender has had an excellent predraft process that included a nice showcase at his pro day where he worked at both off ball LB and edge. A note — Commanders HC Dan Quinn & GM Adam Peters flew out to UCLA’s pro day yesterday, and are a team to keep an eye on at 29 for Oladejo, source said.

Absolutely. If I had to pick some that fit that profile in all ways among the players I've digested their profiles: Oladejo, Maxwell Hairston, Landon Jackson, Jack Sawyer, Egbuka, RJ Harvey, Treveyon Henderson, Devin Neal, Jack Bech.

Only paid attention to those that could be in the range of our picks thus far.

I am surprised you didn't add Scattebo to the group.

You are correct, there are a few before 29 that fit the bill. The one that jumps out to me the most has been Nick Emmanwori

Not sure about Skattebo as for him being their kind of guy character wise -- probably he is. But its not as cut and dry as some of the others.

He's arrogant. And you got that lawsuit from a teammate as to him jumping on the golf cart.

But as a dude on the field, I think he's screams what they talk about -- wanting tough dudes who play with oomph. On that front, he screams their type of player.

I get the Texas Tech to Kliff connection. But I have a hard time getting excited about Brooks. Maybe in the 7th round?

While I've not delved into the QB class aside from Ewers and Dart last year, whom I like, I'm a little baffled why Jalen Milroe is not getting more attention. He's got negatives according to his profiles I've been reading - accuracy being a big one. But, Anthony Richardson was the least accurate QB I've ever seen in college and he was obviously highly regarded. Jalen's the better pure athlete than AR IMO. Jalen can flat out move and can be a weapon. IDK maybe teams are wary precisely because of AR's struggles but you can't deny there's something interesting to work with. Long story short - maybe Milroe will garner interest if he's there @29 assuming we don't trade down.

I watched a lot of Milroe in College.

Physical ability is awesome - but his footwork and throwing mechanics need a lot of work. Aa a result of poor footwork and the mechanical issues his accuracy is erratic and his feet and eyes are not in synch - so he is often either early or late on throws. He was not really asked to do any complex reads or do a lot of timing/anticipation throws so this not necessarily his fault but I don't see anything in his game that makes me think he would be good at working through progressions or throwing with anticipation.

He's got upside based on his physical talent but he's a big project for a good QB coach. As a 3rd/4th round flyer on that project sure - a first round pick? Not a chance for me.

There were games when he didn't look like a quality starting QB in the SEC let alone the NFL.

It would probably be the least sexy pick, but I’m really hoping we land a high caliber/potential IOL. I’ve mentioned G/C for months (Biadasz going down was problematic), but a G/T who gives us added versatility would be great too. Our run game was awful for long stretches - which is kind of crazy given the Jayden Daniels’ factor - and Daniels was forced to scramble way too much. Obviously Tunsil was a huge addition, but while Allegretti, Coleman and Wylie are decent (and Coleman has a runway), I’d like to shoot for dominance in the trenches. With that said, I get that we could use help all over (unfortunately).

I didn't realize he is arrogant. Sometimes that builds into a players play style, other times it is a turn off to all around him. Honestly, I am not a big fan of him coming to Washington unless it was a really late round pick. I still hold hope that Sinnott will be capable of filling portions of what Skattebo would be asked to do.

Arrogant in that he likes to say he's the best RB in college. I don't think based on what I've heard he's a bad dude. It just comes across that he has some Riggins like swagger to his personality.

Donovan Jackson. He’d be such a great addition. Adding him and Laremy Tunsil would give us suuuuuch a solid and flexible line.

This would be a great move. Apparently we just met with him at the Georgia pro day. Along with basically everybody else on the Georgia team.

And I didn’t realize Ekeler has a younger brother in the draft.

With Peters, Newmark and DQ going to see Oluwafemi Oladejo at his Pro Day it makes me think the following and it's not a bad thing.

I see AP moving down at least a couple times in the draft and loading up on players, getting the most out of each of his picks. Sure that's what he does as a GM but more so this year as there are a ton of holes left over from the last regime to fill and it's on his watch now.

Not all of them could be filled in free agency so with there being good/great depth in most if not all the positions we need help in, particularly in this draft, I see AP moving down and maximizing in gaining picks and getting quality players this year.

Definitely plausible and this is a great draft to do just that.
