Yes, Chase Young was a guaranteed Myles Garrett type until he wasn't. So many players like that. The question will be, does AP and the team have better recipes to predict success? On DL, the main guy we have to by is Newton. I liked what I saw overall, but I do think there were some valid size concerns.

BUT given the necessary haul to get Garrett, there is a debate to be had on Stewart at 29 plus the picks versus Garrett by himself.
But again sarcastic bc I firmly expect Stewart to go like top 15 now. You can't enter the draft process a top 40 pick, score at the "freak" level athletically, and expect to still be there after 25.

Preaching to the the choir, I'd go RB in the 2nd or even the first if Hampton fell. But as far as what this team does, who knows. I saw they had a formal interview with Jordan James. James is all over the map in mocks. Late 2nd through 5th. He IMO is in that their 3rd of RBs, Neal, Harvey, Giddens, etc. Harvey is my favorite in that bunch but i like them all.
My preference is: Hampton, K. Johnson, T. Henderson. If its the next group: Sampson, maybe Judkins, Skattebo. The group after that, I love Harvey. i do like Neal, Giddens,, James. Going deeper into that group, love Tuten. I have plenty more that I need to watch.
Savion is really raw but a freak with his size-speed. Be interesting to see if he's going to do some RB reps apparently that was an ask from one of the NFL teams for the combine workouts.

Funny, I just saw that about a half hour ago. Based on that I rescind what I had said about the late 3rd or 4th even with all the talent he brings to the table
I haven't watched much of him yet. But yeah 12% drop rate is high. From what I've watched so far, am more intrigued by Jayden Higgens among the tall target types.

PFF has them as below. Just for comparison. I think the ratings of this RB class are all over the place after reviewing different media draft evaluators. I tend to trust people here better as you guys have done it for a long time (basing off prior place).

Thanks, I've looked at PFF. Agree with some of this. It's really hard though, it depends on what you are looking for. I need to watch Jaydon Blue. Like Tuten, he's fast. I know PFF is lower on Tuten than most. I am higher on Kaleb than they are. And while I like Skattebo a lot they are little higher on him than me. Am about the same on Judkins. I like Harvety over Neal but I do like both players. I haven't watched Martinez and B. Smith, yet.

I liked what I saw/read about Higgins at the Senior Bowl. Had a long TD catch too, that was fairly contested, if I recall correctly.

I wouldn’t look at Savion as a traditional receiver. He strikes me more as a different flavor of Antonio Gibson. Gadget guy. Hand him the ball a little. WR screens, etc. He’s just a really explosive guy that a turn a short pass, or a ru, into an explosive play.

PFF's ranking for Skattebo is ridiculous imo. No chance I would use a second rounder on him. I wouldnt even draft him inside the top 5 rounds. But to each their own I guess.

Some more IOL types I like Wyatt Milum is a OG to me and could be a good one. The C/OG Ohio State Seth McLaughlin is good - Luke Newman Michigan State is underrated and I like Drew Kendall Boston College.

Skattebo has elite tackle breaking ability and runs angrier than any man I've ever seen. He runs like the defender punched his mom and kicked his dog.
That being said I desperately need to see some good measurables outta him. NFL players are bigger, faster, and have better technique than college dudes. What happens when the worst guy you face is as good as the best Georgia/Texas/Bama players?
He does add some value in the receiving game, 605 receiving yards on 45 receptions, that's pretty darn good.
The big thing for me is the lack of speed means he's prolly a power back with receiving ability. So what is the delta between BRob and him? Like I do suspect there's an upgrade there but is it worth where we'd have to pick him.
Unless his measurables are better than I think, I probably wouldn't feel comfy until the 4th for him but we don't have a fourth and I suspect he will not be even remotely available in the 5th.
Potentially just a mis-match of our needs and his skillset.

Regarding the Deebo Samuel trade rumor, I wonder if part of it might be that San Fran has 5 picks in rounds 3 and 4, and 10 overall. Don’t know how the math works out, but I could see us trading a high pick and getting Samuel, plus 2 mid round picks in return, or something to that effect.
