I was trying to be polite. I realize that is not necessarily a modern trait but I’m not modern, so…

I think the biggest legitimate criticism of Wright was how he and the front office handled the name change.

Had it not been for them badly bungling that whole endeavor, many of the other things that happened (Portajohn photos, stadium leaks, the ST memorial, etc...) would've been much less harshly received. But for most fans, it just appeared to be clueless blunder after clueless blunder. But I think there's a difference between being over your head in a job you probably weren't ready for and in a very tough situation, and being a bad guy. Just my opinion.

As Chris has stated before, we don't KNOW these folks. We may think we do, but we don't. For example - Dan Snyder and/or Ron Rivera may have played a major role in some of the bad decisions that Jason Wright took the fall for. We just don't know.

We don’t know…but it’s a strong, experienced-based assumption that Snyder made the decision and Rivera and Wright were the faces of it, much like Allen and Snyder’s draft picks from the Yacht

re: Jason Wright. He came from McKenzie. With all due respect to any poster who works there, that place breeds snakes, back stabbers, and a whole lot of fluff. Obviously, there are some outstanding consultants and smart people who work there and rise above. And then there is everybody else. And it looks like Wright was one of the "everybody else."

Dan is probably the root of a lot of general stupidity, but Jason didn't run a buttoned up ship.

Hiring someone to head the business side of the org who brings experience running a multi-billion dollar company...LOVE it.

Understanding that Wright was basically hired to babysit Snyd-dog, it was just insane that they made team pres. an entry-level position...I always wonder how the re-brand could have gone with an actual adult in the room.

As a swan song, some would say, Campbell last year plunked down $2.7 billion to buy the high-end pasta sauce brand Rao's. The company — which went public in 2021 — joined Campbell's portfolio of lower-priced Prego sauce and Swanson broths.

At an investor day several months ago, Clouse changed the company's name from Campbell's Soup to the Campbell's Company. The move was meant to reflect the company selling more than just soup — everything from Snyder's-Lance pretzels to Goldfish crackers to Rao's pasta sauce.

The Washington Commanders sit in second place in the NFC East with a record of 8-5, behind the Philadelphia Eagles. Knowing Clouse, overtaking the Eagles in the division in 2025 is already on the to-do list.

🤣 you beat me to it, I almost called him Santa clouse especially considering what time of the year we got him.

But seriously this is a coup, the more I read about this guy the more I realize how lucky we are to have him, fortune .500 companies would have lined up to get him after the way he righted the ship with Campbell's and he has a reumè that's vast an extremely impressive.

I realize that after Wright it feels like president of a football team is a pathetic role and it's really not but in the grand scheme of the business world this is a massive step down from c.e.o of Campbell's to president of one 32 teams in the league and we're only getting someone so overqualified because sports is a passion and dream for him and he knows at his age this is probably his last shot to do it.

In 5 years we're gonna be seen as a cornerstone franchise by the players and the media like the Vikings, eagles, steelers etc and I believe it'll be largely in part to what this guy does behind the curtain, hopefully combined with some big playoff runs.

Is that common or above average? Certainly notable to my eyes.

It was never common in the past, but it’s becoming more common. The Lions coaching staff is stuffed full of ex-players and it seems to really feed into the edge and culture they’re building.
