I want to acknowledge the impact that Josh Harris has had on this team and celebrate the exit of Dan Snyder. As much as fans want to avoid saying HIS name as if it a sign of maturity and/or practice of a pragmatic approach of not living in the past, it's not a coincidence that we NOW have a GM and staff empowered to do what they excel at with Dan gone. This season's turnaround has been a full team accomplishment. I just want to memorialize all the staff and individuals that have contributed to this season of joy and elation.

Of the folks on the coaching staff, 13 played in the NFL:

Kliff Kingsbury
Larry Izzo
David Blough
Andre Coleman
Bobby Engram
Sharrif Floyd
William Gay
Ryan Kerrigan
Anthony Lynn
Ken Norton Jr
Jason Simmons
Darnell Stapleton
Darryl Tapp

Is that common or above average? Certainly notable to my eyes.

I don't think that's very common. It didn't used to be.

I don't think it's hyperbolic to say the 2024 Washington Commanders season is going to prove to be one of the greatest organizational turnarounds in NFL history. It's a shame that the new owner and GM weren't in place soon enough to start the turnaround in 2023 but from the vantage point of 'be careful what you wish for', imagine if we HAD blown it up in 2023 and possibly missed out on the chance to draft Jayden Daniels. Or if Jeff Bezos had prevailed in purchasing the team.

What we are seeing right now seems like fate. The amazing kind.

Jason Wright is an absolutely incompetent clown who is the epitome of an empty suit.

I love the way Harris fired him, too.

Completely neutered the guys authority and told him to sit in his office, just twiddling his thumbs and cashing his paychecks, for the next few months.

Let's him know what a joke he is while still parting with a high-level exec "the right way".

I can't recall. Was Jason Wright responsible for the Sean Taylor wire hanger tribute?

why hate on Jason? I view him as a guy that got offered a dream job that shouldnt have been offered to him.....of course you take it and fake it as long as you can

My bet is that Snyder gave him a small amount of money and said make a tribute to Taylor.

I never blame anyone else for any of the Doofus Dan idiocy.

Wright was a plant by the league to combat the ridiculous environment in Ashburn. I don’t think he’s a bad guy but I also don’t think that there was a human alive that could have made a considerable difference with Snyder still holding the keys. Lipstick on a pig. Thank you for your service, Jason. Best of luck in your future endeavors.

The NFL set Jason Wright up for failure. You take a guy with very limited executive experience and you throw him into the middle of the most dysfunctional organization in the history of the NFL. Madcap fun ensues.

I'm not making excuses for Wright - he made plenty of mistakes. But what you got is exactly what one should've expected for a guy with his limited experience in a horrific situation. The best thing for him is to get a fresh start elsewhere where he can apply the lessons he learned in DC. I think he's probably a very nice guy and he certainly has plenty of talent.
