This was a weird game.

The Giants were never in position to win it and Washington’s new players almost to a man played well from Kinlaw and Deebo to draft picks Merritt and Amos.

What made this game unusual is that almost every break went the Giants way and that kept the score down but it wasn’t nearly enough to bridge the gap in terms of outcome.

From the ticky tacky foul on Wagner to the on field call of no catch for Terry McLaurin, it was all Giants all day.

While a number of these were 50/50 calls to be honest the fact the Giants kept winning the calls on the flip of the coin was amazing.

I guess you can call it amazing instead of aggravating when you win by 15.

I am not dogging Conerly for one of the sacks or Allegretti for the holding call because as Tom Brady observed Jayden Daniels at times held the ball too long in the pocket and/or stepped up to run/scramble right into the lane of an oncoming defender.

Daniels was a bit off today and we were able to win with him playing at about 70% of the sharp play we are used to seeing out of him.

Daniels playing better more than any other factor is the key to the upcoming game against Green Bay.

You've mentioned is fingernails a number of times. I have no clue why. Have you seen how any of these guys show up to games? Do you have issues with guys cutting their hair or beards before games?

Let’s just say I’m not a big fan of some modern grooming trends for men. Painted fingernails is one of them. Quite honestly beards are another. Excessive tattoos are another.

Let’s let it rest there. No reason to go down the road of why I think it matters in his case. I won’t bring it up again.

Well if we're going to be looking for a WR in next year's draft, better hope we don't pick Bama's Ryan Williams. He paints his nails and has an nil deal with sally hanson, but does it to support his sister.🤷

"In support of" How exactly?? Do the other 9 (7?) fingers oppose it?

You want to "support" a cause, you stroke them a check, volunteer your expensive time to do a PSA, or man the hotline. I'm not buying that he gets his finger did for any reason other than he likes being a Diva.

He painted them “988” which is the suicide hotline number in Chicago. Sorta like “911”. Also his mom was a nail tech her entire life, so there’s a personal tie in.

Like most social issues, if you take a journey out of the shallow end of the pool, you’ll find there is much more to it.
