The new regime has killed it in their inaugural season on and off the field. I expect them to only improve on their accomplishments moving forward. I see them sticking with the name but breaking out a major rebrand including of course the uni's and the "W". It will bring stability to the fanbase that has seen numerous bad looks, logos and names over the past few years. The market is ripe to explode bringing unprecedented revenues to go hand in hand with the enthusiasm of the fans

My guess is the name will stay but there will be new logos and possibly new or alternate color schemes. I actually don't mind the burgundy but the white is too Arizona-y.

The number of Commanders shirts during the Falcons game staggered me. Might have just been the TV angles but it seemed like everyone was wearing them. I hate the name and the new uniforms so it really bothered me.

Exactly and that was my point with that post. It’s not about going back to the name, but it’s about protecting the history of the team and keeping their league partners from erasing it.

I think we'll be getting more clarity on this relatively soon.
Jason Wrights' tenure will be up at the end of January. Soon after that, you would think there would be a formal announcement of Mark Clouse as new team President, where he will take questions from the media and one of those questions will most certainly be about the name. It would be the perfect time for him to give the fans a little more of a definitive answer on whether they are in the process of a rebrand or shutting the door on any possibility of changing.
I don't see why they would drag it out any longer, and I don't see the sense in staying with Commanders another four, five, six years and then suddenly changing.
They should let the fans know something.

I like Werewolves Burgold, but I doubt the NFL would go for it. People would say it has occult elements to it…and I doubt they would want to dip their toes in that water.

Now just Wolves…that would be a coup at this point.

One thing I truly wonder about, is does the Ownership Group really see this as big an issue as the fans message boards have seen it. Are we living in a fantasy world at this point? On Facebook it's nothing but "REDSKINS FOREVER, FUCK THEM!" Here, and on other boards since the rebrand I think we have taken (only slightly) a more reasonable approach to the issue. Do the numbers really indicate they should change at this point? Josh Harris and his group appear to be as savvy as they come. In the end, they aren't going to change the name just because Dan Snyder picked it whether we want them to or not.

Up to this point, all we have received is "it's not a priority." I'm wondering if that really is the case, or if it ever will be. I guess only time will tell.

Every poll I've seen, one of which being the one done this offseason by the research firm from Maryland ( possibly hired by the team ? ) says yes.

I think it was more like it wasn't a priority right now. Harris said the stadium and uniting the fanbase around the team were the initial priorities. I think we've seen progress on both fronts.

I love the old name and logo as much as the next person - it's one of the reasons I became a fan as a 7-year old. However, with the ownership literally saying they will never go back to the name specifically, it's pure delusional to hold onto the hope that it will come back.

I would prefer if the "old name and logo" crowd on forums like Facebook instead put that same effort into us moving on from the current brand. That's where the focus should be.

With that being said, if they keep the name and bring back the old uniforms or change them to something reflecting that look more closely, I would find a way to eventually stomach "Commanders." Unfortunately it just always reminds me of Dan Snyder.

I just wonder if I believe them. Are they truly going to entertain a change or are they holding out as long as possible in the hopes people either come around or stop complaining. We can only take them at their word, but with a 11 win season (hopefully 12) about to be wrapped up and Jayden the hottest selling jersey in the NFL this season? Who really knows at this point.
