Washington Football Team at that point is 1000 times better than either of thoseOK but what if Redwolves and Commanders were the only choices? Which would you prefer?

I probably like WFT as much as you like Redwolves lol, but I would absolutely back it over commanders! But you’re not answering my question… Would you take Redwolves (or another name that you don’t like) over commanders which you also don’t like? Is the fact that commanders was Snyder‘s name a factor for you? Just curious.Washington Football Team at that point is 1000 times better than either of those
I mean Redwolves are an actual species. It’s not like the name was invented to make it sound like Redskins. Plus the whole Wolf thing is just cool.I cant stand the commanders name - not due to snyders choice of names but because it is just awful. Nothing ties it to DC. hell Generals would have been better, or Admirals... And as for REDWOLVES the reason I don't like it is it's just REDWOLVES to try to keep RED in the name. Wolves would have been fine, I just didn't like the shoehorning of RED into it.

It’s a bonus that they sound the same. Makes for an easier transition. Just like Cleve went from Indians to guardians, and Saint johns went from red men to red storm.Redwolves wasn't invented to sound like Redskins but it would seem like we're using because it does.
I know some people see it like that, but if it's not Redskins, the word Red isn't important to me.It’s a bonus that they sound the same. Makes for an easier transition. Just like Cleve went from Indians to guardians, and Saint johns went from red men to red storm.
If we go that route, I vote for your Washington Revenuers with a big IRS on either side of the helmet. Now jokingly what is DC most known for? Corruption - so How about the Washington Corruption - logo - money being handed to someone
EXACTLY how I feel. The native American tie ins are very feasible. Also the whole wolf pack and wolf den option for the fans would be awesome. Maybe get the Dietz family to have input on the new logo as a nod of respect?Redwolves, or Wolves are my picks. Warriors sound kinda corny. Plus all the wolf tie ins would be awesome.

Arkansas State RedwolvesJason Wright did say that Warriors was off the table because it too closely aligned with Native American tropes. I didn't buy it then and I don't buy it now. Native Americans were not/are not the only racial group that had "Warriors."
Now I don't remember him saying anything about Wolves that were along those lines. Redwolves did have some significant trademark issues going on. There was a poster on Extremeskins named "Football Zombie," I think he was an attorney, because he actually made several posts regarding the trademark problems that made a ton of sense.
We were burgundy and gold before Snyder got here and we will be burgundy and gold long after he is gone. I saw them play in 4 Super Bowls wearing those colors.Oh, me neither. I mean look at the name I chose lol.
But the colors are a reminder of what we lost. If we changed everything then at least we went all in. I view what Snyder did as another failed attempt because it was half-assed.
I still don't understand the trademark issue, do you recall what the poster said about the trademark issue with the Timberwolves? Why can a college have the same name as a pro team if this is the case? Why are there teams like the Giants and Cardinals who have the same name in different sports?Jason Wright did say that Warriors was off the table because it too closely aligned with Native American tropes. Refresh my memory on that one.Maybe regarding ( Red ) Wolves, I dont know, but he was dead wrong about trademarks of " Washington Football Team ".

Arkansas State Redwolves

So the trademark conflict is with a school? I thought it was the Minnesota Timberwolves. Isn't there a college team that goes by, or went by, Redskins? How does that work?Yes, and Arkansas State ended up winning their trademark battle with the Chattanooga Redwolves Soccer Club. Here is a link that kind of explains the whole thing. Football Zombie suggested that the team could have reached out to tried to make a mutual use agreement with the University, or just bought the trademarks from them for a pile of cash. We all know Snyder wasn't about to do that.
Refresh my memory on that one.
