Super Bowl or Branding/Name Change?

I'm not certain what I love more - your shirt, Kathryn's shirt, or that Oklahoma Joe rolling smoke at 259°.

Gonna try and fly out to a home game next year. We need to plan out a tailgate when I do for old times sake. Been far too long, my friend.

Maybe we can get DLSF to fly in for the game :D

To be honest, I am more concerned about the Eagles losing than how far we go. I would rather lose to the Lions than lose the NFCC game to Philthy.

I HATE being the Commies, almost as much as I hate the Steelers knock-off black XFLesque jerseys. I want EVERY vestige of Lord Farquaad's reign of error removed. Red Wolves or Warriors I could live with since realistically we can't get the old name back....but Commies? No F*$&*+g way.

Totally OT...
A few ESers have been in my home recently and love Cobblestone Glory! Still can't thank you enough!
(I'm selling, *the house, never the painting!* and the realtor was here today...she dug it too. Hoping to make ya famous!)

"Reign of Error" is pure gold. That HAS to be the 30 for 30/Netflix documentary title for whoever chooses to finally write this story.

Is Daniels jersey the best selling jersey in the League this year? Because I'm sure he's been much more impressive than RG3 was and his was the best selling jersey his rookie year.

If it's not even close then that should tell you how many fans, myself included, refuse to buy Commander gear. I'll just wear my old Monk jersey.

Ok I found my answer

Beat out by a couple scrubs and an injured DE and a Hofer, But with a different team name Daniels should easily have the best selling jersey.

What would be really interesting, would be to see how those Sales figures break down across the season.

Stroud going number one surprises me a bit. I can see how the Houston faithful would buy the shirt, but I didn't think he had appeal outside of Houston. I don't have much of a feel for him at all.

Williams at #2 is indicative of how the Bears thought they had a generational talent. I wonder how many of those jerseys were bought early or pre-season?

Mahomes at #3 is a surprise. I'd have expected him at #1 if I'm honest. He's a popular player both inside and outside KC. I see A LOT of Mahomes jerseys in the UK as inevitably casual fans jump ont he KC Bandwagon.

(Side note, I have a friend who up until a few years ago had always said he was a Lions fan, then changed to Chiefs. We always ribbed him about being a lightweight fan. He's pretty torn this year!)

Hutchinson at #4 isn't too much of a surprise. If you're a Lions fan it's likely the cooler shirt to buy than Goff.

And then Jayden at #5. I do wonder how much of this is backloaded. I know I haven't bought a JD shirt yet, burnt as I am by my RGIII and Heineke purchases. I was definitely waiting to see how Jayden turned out and didn't want to jinx him. It would be intereting to see if his numbers have ramped up as his reputation has built over the season, as Washington have proven to be good. He's also super likeable and personable, so I can see how casual NFL fans might be drawn to his shirt.

I have a 10 Elite, only wear it to games here ( I missed 2019 because I was coming off a 3-week hospitalization). I'll get the JD5-BGO shirt as soon as I'm done sulking over the $40 I spent recently on an ES shirt---thanks Die Hard. 😬

I've already told my wife, the literal DAY the new branding jerseys come available, I will go out and get 5 new jerseys. I hope that the fanbase absolutely shatters sales records when it happens to thank Josh Harris and team for what they're doing for us after 30 years of darkness. Only two hurdles left - fix the branding and move us to RFK and we're off to the races.

For context - I've never bought anything Commanders related and never will - this is my closet cleanout from a few years back when I essentially swore off the team as long as Dan Snyder owned the team. Then of course in less than 12 months he was forced to sell, and now here we are.

The only Commanders merch I have purchased so far is the JD5 jersey as a birthday gift my son was clamoring for. It is the burgundy one of course. He did not want that white abomination. Based an unscientific review of the Team Store and my own anecdotal experience I would venture to say at least 80% of the Jerseys are the Burgundy and Temu Steelers ones. I think it is close to unanimous that that fashion school student Tanya Snyder/Nike collaboration ,white Falcons circa 1989, trash are an abject failure. Those putrid things going away need to be number 1 off-season branding fixers regardless of name.

Say what you will about the black uniforms, but I’m at a kids birthday party at a public party place like chuckle cheeses and there’s been probably 6 or 7 kids wearing jerseys (a lot more wearing t-shirts and hoodies) and all of those jerseys are the black option.

It clearly resonates with the next generation of fan.

I like the black jersey, it’s easily been my fave of the three new ones. My complaint has always been that it’s not Burgundy and Gold, thus doesn’t feel Redskin’y.

I like the burgundy shirt, but it does kind of look like a cheap knock off of my older Redskin shirts. It’s very almost there… but not quite.

The white one I just hate. It doesn’t look so bad from a distance, but the closer you get the more it’s just not right. It’s missing the gold.

I do suspect, that when I have the cash it’ll probably be the black Daniels shirt I get next.

I do have a black Portis jersey from when Reebok used to do then, so there is precedent 😝

5 turnovers. 1 pick six. The Commies quite literally seized their means of production. I'm not sure we should back out of the name now.
