No disagreement here. Hopefully with FA and a full cap, it won't have to be an either/or situation.

Just off the top of my head, Talib in FA could fix the corners. Another FA could fix the safeties, and maybe others for WRs and OL.

I'm not so sure we need to address corners.... yet. Amerson looked to get better over the course of the season, and we have to assume that Wilson is on the way out the door. That right there might be an upgrade in and of itself. Crawford/Minnifield returning (HOPEFULLY HEALTH!!) will also add more to the unit. As far as safety goes, we do need to address it... bad. We need that CF style free safety. Someone with range and smarts. I don't care if he has a single big hit all season, I just want him in position. I think if we can get that piece, we can keep Reed in at SS and use him in run support like we did this past season. He's never going to break any records, but dude puts himself in position to make tackles, and he's not afraid to stick his nose in the hole. Not to mention, if we can generate pressure at all with a 4 man rush, it's going to make our defense exponentially better.

roll Hall to a safety position. he wants to do it, could play that position another 2-3 years, would save the Skins some scratch while we rebuild elsewhere. leaves a gap at corner - but that's going to happen anyway. make a play for Byrd for the other safety spot and hope like hades Thomas recovers from his injury. IMO, we need to focus on the lines.
