So Who Wins Roy?

Who Wins ROY?

Yeah. Wilson seems to be the 'value' pick. RGIII definitiley had the season and stats to justify it. And like Wilson, he was not expected to be NFL ready out of the gate.

Should be either Wilson or Griffin. If Luck wins, is a travesty.

It's just an award, and doesn't mean anything compared to a SB run, but Luck is pulling away again today per Vegas lines.

Jaws just threw his support to Luck.

Peter King gave his nod to Wilson in MMQB. I'd be fine with Wilson frankly; Luck doesn't deserve it, imo.

could be morris ...1600 yards 13 tds very impressed with that !

Any year other than this and Morris wins going away. With three superlative QBs though, one of them will win it.

RG3's injury has pretty much taken him out of the race. Luck is the favorite I believe because the line is "His team had to rely on him more than any other team." Whether that's true or not, that's another thing.

I believe RG3 sealed it with winning a division title and 63 yds. rushing with a TD. Winning a division crown is the key here. Leading your team over two division rivals to get that crown - including the "play in" game - is the deciding factor.

I'm really not sure how you ignore the fact that this team was 3-6 after the bye, they re-voted for captains and picked Griffin, and then they rip off 7-wins in a row to take the division. If you're going to give Luck credit for taking the worst team in NFL history to 10-6 (hyperbole!), you have to give the same credit to Griffin for this turnaround.

Wilson broke Peyton's rookie TD pass record and led Seattle to an 11-win season, however that defense won them a lot of games and kept them in the rest. They beat Green Bay with a very egregious refereeing error, but their D was the reason the game was ever in reach.

I've made my thoughts on the Colts pre-Luck very well known, so I won't get into that again.

If Wilson gets it, I won't be mad. He's played very well, and deserves it. If Griffin gets it, obviously I will be ecstatic, but like Mike said, there is so much to be excited about this season, I really don't care about ROY anymore. But if Luck gets it, I will be PISSED.

Sporting News 2012 NFL awards: Robert Griffin III, Rookie of the Year
By Clifton Brown Sporting News

Statistics don’t measure Robert Griffin III’s total impact on a game. They also don’t measure his importance to his franchise or his popularity in the nation’s capital and beyond.

Simply put, Griffin returned legitimate hope for a championship to the Redskins. He led them to a division title for the first time since 1999 and created a buzz throughout Washington and the NFL. He put fear in opponents, who knew facing Griffin was like facing lightning ready to strike.

Almost nothing about Griffin seemed rookie-like. Not the way he avoided interceptions, throwing just five all season. Not the way he led teammates. Not the way he handled immense attention and expectations.

The Redskins closed the regular season with a seven-game winning streak that showcased Griffin at his best. He ran the read option like an orchestra conductor, throwing accurate darts to his receivers while darting through the secondary with sprinter’s speed.

Late in the season, Griffin had five consecutive games in which his passer rating topped 100. In November and December, the Redskins transformed themselves from a 3-6 team into a NFC East champions, and the rest of the division was put on notice.

We're not getting a ring this year so I'm hoping for the awards. :)

RG3 easily... the thing that will propel him forward is having the guts to play through a season- derailing injury

And performing adequately against the Cowboys and more than adequately against the Eagles.
