On punter Sav Rocca:
“After Thursday, he was just jogging and tweaked his knee. We’re going to test him tomorrow and see how he feels and see if he can punt. If not, we’ll bring in a few punters today and check [them] out today. If he can’t go, then we’ll go in that direction.”
On if Rocca has tried to punt since the injury:
“No. He’ll try tomorrow morning.”
On if he knows the severity of Rocca’s injury:
“I don’t know, I really don’t. We’ll test him out tomorrow and hopefully he’ll feel OK.”
On who would be the holder if Rocca can’t play:
“It all depends on what punter – if that person has experience or not. It all depends on the experience somebody has that’s the punter. Has he held before? Is he a good holder? Or if not, we would go with [quarterback] Kirk Cousins. [He] would be the holder.
On if wide receiver Pierre Garçon practiced today:
“No, he did not.”
On if Cousins practiced holding today:
“He got it all day yesterday, too. Sav didn’t get any yesterday. He was out there, but he didn’t get any work. I know you guys probably noticed that out there, but I just thought I’d share that with you guys.”
On fullback Darrel Young’s hamstring injury:
“He didn’t pull it, but it’s tight. It’s tweaked. He didn’t practice today. With those hamstrings, you just never know. We’ll test him before the game and see how he does.”
On who would play fullback if Young can’t play:
“Our tight ends can line up at fullback as well.”
On if he’s ever been in a situation where he would be using a different snapper, holder and placekicker in seven weeks:
“I don’t think so. I can’t remember any time. Hopefully, I won’t tomorrow either. No, I don’t think I have.”
On the Giants using David Carr as their scout team quarterback:
“You’re used to doing it, because we do it all the time. We have somebody that doesn’t fit a certain pattern, it’s hard to put your football team through that situation. But if you do it as best as possible or as close as possible and try to give a good look…But it’s always hard.”
On if they would wait to sign the punter they select until they see if Rocca can play:
“Right. We’ll work Sav out tomorrow – kind of get a good feel to see where he’s at. But we have three guys coming in today, so if Sav doesn’t feel good, we’ll go in that direction.”
