Since Cousins isn't worth a 1st rounder, how about a package trade for a 1st ?

I don't think the Skins need 1st rounders to improve the Oline.They are that bad.... How often are guards taken in the first round? I'm hoping for a Guard and RT with the 2 of the first 4 picks. There are too many holes to fill in one off season. I'd like to think they pick up at least one Db as well with one of the first 4 picks.

Just to be clear, yes, I agree (and Alfred's personality and attitude are among the best of any Redskins player I can ever remember) - but for the team, specifically because of things like this:

That should mean more of the zone run scheme the Redskins have used for the past few years, a system Alfred Morris thrived in.

If Jay was going to focus on a different kind of scheme - I do think Morris thrives in this particular scheme, and maybe wouldn't be a great fit in a few others (I'm not sure). Regardless, though, the point is moot; if Jay is really planning on not breaking what was working, then I am assuming Alfred will be back next year doing what he does best.

I think Morris would thrive in any quick hit run scheme as well. His strengths are quick feet, quick decisions and hard to tackle. That's a fit for any scheme.

I had some concerns if Jay was thinking of passing more to his RB. I am pretty sure that Alfred and others think that he can catch out of the backfield (pretty sure I read it before), but right now I'm not sure the NFL agrees. After all, in 2013, Alf had all of 9 receptions. Meanwhile, Giovani Bernard had 56 receptions.

If Jay is going to keep using what is working... then I'd say that Alfred will continue to have success. If Jay was going to try to pass more to his RB... well, depending on the purview, that may have made Alf look expendable.

Bernard wasn't the No. 1 back in Cinci... Green-Ellis was. I dont think Alf becomes expendable, they would accent eachother.
