Ross Tucker Destroys Steve Spurrier

Man, this almost made me cry. Thinking that this was the level of coaching for the B&G. What a joke!

Yup! And it was the big splash move that exemplifies the Dan Snyder era. Let's get rid of a proven NFL coach who ended up building a winner in San Diego in favor of an unproven, high flying act that was unable to adjust his game to fit in the NFL. I still think the Redskins would be in the upper echelon had Marty stuck around here.

Yeah...they might be losing heartbreaking playoff games, but I'll take that any day over just heartbreaking. Sigh.

Can't disagree. Basic competence is under-rated, isn't it? Snyder's fatal flaw as an owner has been the only consistency in Ashburn for the past 20 years. He puts a premium on one thing, and one thing only - doing what Dan Snyder wants you to do.

Deviate from that - and you're history.

Shottenheimer's only mistake was being an individual.

I will add to this: given the past mentality of winning I think it could have been different in DC. They weren't too far removed from greatness in DC like the others cities Marty coached. There was still great expectations for Super Bowls in DC. Who knows? Here we sit playing the shoulda woulda coulda game. I just wish it were different! I hope Shanny and Allen can take us there.
