Andrew Luck may be the most mind-warping thing that has happened to the fans of underacheiving NFL teams...ever. He's even toppled Tony Sparano from...

Amazing stuff serv - normally, guess I'd be surprised that fans of any team would be more worried about the impact of winning vs. losing - except that I'm almost there with my own team. I really don't see any benefit to us winning a couple more games this year. I'd rather we suck it out, acknowledge that this season is lost, and keep ourselves in a position to draft one of the top two QBs in next year's draft.

That's the only logical vantage point in my opinion. I know some will say 'I will never ever root for a Redskins loss', and I won't 'root for it'. But I know rationally it's better for us long-term if we don't win another game this year.

which is exactly where I'm at. I cannot imagine another season with Rex "Butterball" Grossman or John "Can't see the field" Beck leading this team.

John "Magoo" Beck. :)

I understand the quandry of getting a win now or just letting go and going after that high pick.

When I was younger, the thought of tanking/hopefully losing for long term gain, disgusted me.

That changed this year.

All the numerous Qbs over these last 20 years with seemingly no one to nail that spot down, coupled with all the mediocrity and losing...has just worn me out.

I'm ready for a high pick, hopefully top 3, and finally getting some legitimate, young QB talent on this team.

It's funny to read those comments about Beck and now we disappoint them even further by going back to Rex.

Also funny to see the mixed reactions about losing the inside track to Andrew Luck.

Thanks for posting these each week Serv.

It appears there are 4 or 5 qbs that are likely to be first round picks in the 2012 draft.

So, if the Redskins are picking in the top 8-12 selections as last year they should be able to acquire a passer for the future.

With the schedule coming up and pending suspensions of Davis and Williams, how many games do you think this team is going to win coming down the stretch?

Today's game against Miami and the contest against Seattle look like the best bets.

Let's assume they win both. That's 5-11.

Not enough to ruin draft position :)

This team is not going to beat New England, NY Jets, Giants in NY or the Eagles in Philly.

BT - today is no gimme. The Dolphins have been somewhat decent of late and really put it together last week. Seattle is always tough at home.

My point exactly. AT BEST the Redskins have the chance to win today and against Seattle, but neither game is a gimmee.

And the other games on the schedule are tougher :)

So, for those worried about draft position, have a beer and relax.

Sadly, I think any worries over that subsided weeks ago. :(

If this coaching staff can't do any better scheming with what they do have, forfeiting would provide a better chance at winning.

One of the problems with tanking the season is the effect it has on signing free agents form other teams, or re-signing and retaining our own free agents. The worse we are, players will be a LOT less likely to want to sign with us. Nobody good wants to sign with a 3-13 team. They want a ring, not to be part of a 5 year or more rebuilding process.

Not to mention we are giving out blank checks anymore.

Gee Wally! Has there ever been a QB drafted beyond the top ten spots that ever played in the NFL?

I know the use of this word is frowned upon, so my apologies in advance. I'm too old and lazy to think of another one that expresses my feelings.

Thinking that a higher draft pick will somehow magically produce a better QB, is retarded.

Hoping/wanting your team to lose does nothing to affect the team. It only exposes the mindset of the loser mentality, IMO.
