Redskins Make Roster Moves 3/7/16

The Giants are being very aggressive in free agency on the defensive side of the ball. Jenkins, Harrison, McLeod, Vernon already on board.

I was not expecting us to do much the first 1-2 days other than resign our own players, but it would have been a nice surprise to see us make a competitive bid for Tashaun Gipson and try and put our problems at safety back in the box for the next 4-5 years.

I think you'll continue to see the Redskins relatively quiet in free agency. McLovin's a 'build through the draft guy' plain and simple. That's going to pay dividends down the road gents. Not exciting but we've seen where big free agent splashes have gotten us in the past - nowhere...

For the most part I agree, but even teams like the Patriots and Packers sign the occasional free agent and if you do your due diligence on the players coming available you can find a gem or two.
