First of Idalia hit, 20 minute outer band strike. Beer, check, smoke check, grilling before the next one hits, check.

I have YouTube TV and got the Sunday package. Yes, it was pricey. But, I was able to log in and watch my game even in the middle of a flight.

Losing your power on a beautiful sunny day sucks. WTF?

About time to fly this coop. 🦅

I seriously need to take a step back and reevaluate how I spend my emotional energy. As ‘a grown ass man’ I am embarrassed by how much I allow this team to impact my mental health.

I’m taking a time out until the process begins to make serious and significant changes to this organization as related to the on-field product. I have hope that the future will be brighter once inspired changes occur and realistically that can’t begin until January. Until then…

Om and I said these same things yesterday as we kept track of the game on our phone while playing a round of golf.

I’m surprised at how much it impacts me even after 20 years of failure. I think knowing changes are coming but having to wait for it makes bearing the futility harder. I’m very tired of Rivera and Company.

This kind of loss makes it harder. I was fine losing to the Eagles earlier this year because the team played well. I mean, yeah, it was frustrating because there was a real chance to win and we didn't.

But losing to bad teams like the Giants and Bears is just hard. Watching us play bad football with really talented guys is hard.

I’m starting to question the talent part.

I don’t think we’ll really be able to decide who can really play u til we get Rivera and company out of here.

My paranoia proved founded. On Tuesday I went to the dealership to get an oil change. The front office clerk informed me that I had a nail in my tire and it was in such a place that the tire could not be patched. They said I needed a new one. I did know that my tire indicator light had been on for a few days, but had put it down to the change in temperature. I declined buying from them letting them know I believed my tires were still under warranty at Costco. They said they would fill up the tire and that I should get it taken care of immediately. Now, there were a few strange things about this situation. They never showed me the nail. They identified the tire in question as the driverside rear tire unless it was the driverside front tire. They weren't sure because the mechanics had rotated them. Another thing that rang strange was that they wanted to fill the tire with air instead of putting on the donut. In any case, I went to Costco today because you can't get tire service without an appointment. Not only did they not find a nail in a dastardly location, but they found no nail whatsoever. No puncture whatsoever. It is now my belief that they knew I saw the tire indicator light and thought they could get away with upcharging me and selling me a tire or maybe two if I wanted my car balanced that I did not need.

The weirdest thing is I kind of knew. Maybe it's because I've become desensitized to the tire indicator light, but I kept saying... They think there is a nail in there. I kept using qualified language. In any case, I'm lucky the tires were on warranty because if they weren't I'm sure I would have just paid for a replacement because that's what you do.

My mom's dog is staying with us. She weighs roughly 80lbs. I just clipped her nails. I'm wore the he hell out.

Learned tonight a childhood buddy of mine passed away. Really makes me sad. Brian and his brother Robert lived down the block from us. They were in Webelo's/Scouts with me, played soccer together, and we were high school cross country and track teammates. They had an alcoholic father and anytime you went over there, it would be about 50-50 as to whether he would go on the rampage. I can't imagine how it was 24/7 but I always felt so bad for them. Robert got into drugs bigtime in HS and by the time we were seniors he was totally fried. I think he passed away some years ago. Brian was different though, a tough runner, a good friend, and I had hopes he would find a way to get out of that house and find some success. I was home from college my 2nd year and we hung out. A couple days later, I found out he'd been arrested. He'd gotten talked into dealing some coke and they guy doing the 'talking into' apparently had his phone tapped by the DEA. Brian got nailed and had to do a couple years in prison. It blew my mind because he was a good kid, but I think that pretty much fucked him up for the majority of his life. Being a felon doesn't really go away. He had a daughter, she'd be college age now, and they were very close. It's been a year or two since we talked, but he was just one of those friends you always rooted for.

No idea what happened. I reached out to his sister to check in so maybe I'll hear back.

Sometimes life sucks.

RIP my friend.

Sorry for your loss, brother. Tough losing those people no matter how much we have or have not seen them recently.

Nick Saban is a Belichick disciple, timing?
