Random NFL Thoughts

Like a lot of our fans I always gave the Giants a pass. After Philly and Dallas there was only so much hate to go around. But all that changed with the Mara orchestrated salary cap penalty for contracts previously approved by the league. Now they are at the top of the list and I really enjoy their misery and incompetence with no end in sight.

Good breakdown of Caleb Williams season. Thank you Chicago for taking him!

For the first (second, I guess, but first FULL) year in a long time, this isn't about us:

Bears fans get so salty whenver Caleb is criticized. I know I've been accused of having an agenda. What agenda? It's not like my team ever had a chance to draft Caleb Williams. I think in the back of their mind even though they can't admit it they are mostly all upset that they took the wrong QB.

Caleb is the truth. Maybe because I have a thing for guys who refer to his teammates as ‘my guys’ on day 1 and paints his fingernails. (I hope using ‘his’ as a pronoun isn’t too upsetting)

11 year old me carried a decent sized ember of hatred for the Giants from 1986 (Mark Bavaro can jump in a lake) onward. It was fanned to a Philly and Dallas level raging inferno by Mara's antics. I am convinced he has pulled other stuff specifically to screw the Skins that we don't know about. I hate the Giants with equal passion as to the others in the Division and revel in all misfortune and misery as long as the Mara family owns the team.

I wonder what the league will do if the Rams/Vikings game can’t be played in L.A.

I guess scheduling has to come into consideration, but I figured they would just go to Vegas and play. Either way, I’m glad they have a contingency in place.

You go 14-3 and are rewarded by having to play a 10-7 team on the road in a city that's on fire. Sometimes it does look like Vikings Fan will never see a Super Bowl title.

Will Cleveland now be able to get out from under Deshaun Watson’s contract without consequence?

No idea. What a disaster. If you didn't believe in 'karma', you might want to reconsider...

If karma is truly at work…Cleveland will still bear the brunt, as well.
