I'm not a fan that we are playing the Giants in prime time.

The most hyped 4-13 team in the history of sports.
He called Matt Nagy a talented playcaller...

Most of it hinges on Harbaugh's rep. If Daboll was still coaching they'd probably be ranked as a .500 team. People think Harbaugh will do for the Giants what Vrabel did for the Pats.
Oh yeah the media buys into or drives the Harbaugh arrogance. And if you thought it was bad with one going to LA, just think how much the other Harbaugh being in the NY bright spotlight is going to flashAbsolutely. And I've hated that team for personal reasons for eons. The default emotion from that fan base-media who covers them is arrogance -- now with Harbaugh is the mix who comes off as the most full of himself HC in the NFL in a tie with his brother -- the arrogance is off the charts. And to make it worse, most in the national media is buying into it, and heck even some of the local media who cover this team buys into it.

My dislike of them mostly stems from the "Spirit of the Cap" BS. Much as Snyder is a rat, Mara was even bigger one for that nonsense.Absolutely. He's a damned good coach. He has a 180-113 record over 18 years of NFL head coaching, he has a winning playoff record, and a Super Bowl title to his name. He is the 8th most winning active head coach in the NFL.

Yes AP and DQ have lost the bravado they had earned from the media. It's going to take at least a decent start and JD staying healthy and a good finish to knock the rust off. Both teams have chinks in their armor. The media isn't recognizing the Giants while emphasizing the CommandersAnd on my end, I am not saying they won't better. Dart seems like a good QB. I'd though feel better about their chances if they had Nabers and Skattebo ready to start the season, but that seems unlikely.
They've thrown a ton of resources at the O line for eons and it didn't work, it finally clicked last year for them, and add the guard from the U likely completes that unit. That IMO is what they have working for them.
They got two decent TEs, neither great though. Without Nabers, their WRs are a collection of #4s just like Washington.
They got good edge pass rushers, and adding Reese to the mix adds to it. But I don't think they can stop the run. And some slept on Dexter Lawrence, that dude was a monster and was their best D lineman.
To me it feels 8-9. I don't think they will suck. But winning the division, making a run, all of that stuff makes me gag.
They are basically the media darling for the NFC East, the cool kids, and they want them to see them take the division. Sort of how this team was viewed last off season. But Washington earned that hype.
I recall Quinn was asked last summer how is it going to feel to go from the hunters to being the hunted, and he dismissed that. I don't think Washington adjusted well to coming off the success of 2024. But lol, if they want to be the underdog and dismissed like they were headed to the season, ala 2024, they got it, the national media, mock draft community, etc thinks this team is more likely to suck than bounce back, very few even think they are capable of being mediocre.
Sure - both of the Harbaugh's have plenty of confidence and ego. I guess where I'm going with it is, Harbaugh is most definitely a good coach and will be the best the Giants have probably had since Bill Parcells. Anyone who doesn't think so and points to his 'arrogance' is probably whistling past the graveyard. Many many good coaches could be described as 'arrogant'. The Gibbs of the NFL world are few and far between.
