Well, the way the refs announce things this year is all messed up. If you saw the end of the Lions Steelers game, the ref said the call on the play was a TD, but then explained for 30 seconds how it’s not a TD. Just tell us the call.
 
Tress Way made the Pro Bowl. He is deserving of the honor, one of the best in the business.

No other Commanders made it. Sad to think we are back to the days of the punter being our best player.

I can understand the referee's trying to explain. They don't want to get pelted with beer bottles running into the tunnel after the game.
 
This quote of Tyler Perry in the article- "It's not a good look to some people," alluding to those with a negative perception of the police.-raised my eyebrows after just having read today’s news on Perry.

Talk about a bad look. 😉

Of course, their franchise QB is healthy and playing at an insane level while their top offensive weapons are still helping carry them. Not all injuries and absences are created equal
 
Just realized I'm hitting my 13,000th post on this board and I'd love nothing more than use it as an opportunity to take a moment to thank everyone here... We honestly couldn't do this without you, and I use the term 'we' loosely. I may be part of staff, but there's a group around here that keeps the lights on in ways I could never imagine, so Thank you all... As frustrating, irritating, and down right infuriating as things can be, we're all fans of this team, and we all (hopefully ;) ) want the same thing... success.

It looks like even if we win we can't get a worse draft pick but it might be possible to move up if the Browns, Jets, Giants or Titans win. Of course tie breakers might screw us so hopefully they win the game to end the season on a high note.
 
Here are my end of season quick takes:

Once McLaurin came back and Burks got up to speed the offense started to be okay. They were limited by QB play, but the offense over the last few weeks showed promise despite playing with a third string QB who is a never-was.
Once Quinn took over the defense from Whitt, even with the injury, the defense improved from awful to bad and maybe below average. The move took way too long to happen.
Once Coleman got snaps at tackle he started to show his worth. Brandon Coleman is an excellent swing tackle and probably a pretty good starting one. He ain't a guard (at least he wasn't this year.)
Sainristil needs to get his mojo back. I think he's a far better player than he showed this year.
Reeves is underrated, but not good enough at this point to be looked at as a full time starter.
Bill's got some work to do, but he's a keeper. I still don't understand why we never run wide.
 
The Coleman thing is interesting. Not sure why they were so quick to replace him, he was playing well for a 3rd round pick we could develop. I wish we just kept him as the starting LT, he’s seemed like a fine starter there. I’d prefer to have not traded for Tunsil and kept Coleman. Tunsil seemed like a luxury because we really need those picks we traded to try to fix the biggest problem, the defense and get younger depth. I think Coleman was better at LT when he started last year than Conerly has been at RT. Tunsil has been great but not sure he was right for us at this point in rebuilding.

that or go for Tunsil, move Coleman to the right side, and get an edge. I think we would have been in the running for Pierce, Eraruku (who didn't have a good year), and a few others.
 
That might have worked too. I did want a DE last year in the 1st (I wanted ezeiruaku). He hasn’t been great like you said, Conerly seems to be getting better but not sold on him yet. I’d prefer to keep all picks in the first 5 rounds whenever possible though with so many holes to fill.
 
Big brain time: Coleman at LT, Tunsil at G, Connerly at RT. Or swap the last two with Connerly at G and Tunsil at RT.

Either way, I don't know what they can do with 3 great/good OTs who aren't particularly good at OG. They could try trading Coleman, but it would be embarrassing if O-Line got decimated later.

Tunsil is LT. Dont' change it, no reason to. He's performed up to what we traded for. If anything he's earned another contract to stay there, why change it?
Conerly has proven to be a viable RT and he's still developing. There is reason to believe the bookends are set.
Re-sign Biadasz for another 2 years beyond 2026 while you develop a long term option at C.
Cosmi is locked in at G for the remainder of his contract. Paul has shown enough to ask him to do it again.

Coleman is your current swing tackle back up who can play 4 positions. Why mess with it at this point? Go into 2026 with the same starting OL and get developmental depth behind it. If you believe Coleman is viable at OT long term, you groom Conerly to shift over after Tunsil rides off into the sunset.

I think you just have to accept the fact that OL depth is important and a swing OT with potential starter-level talent (but better at LT) is a fine outcome for a 3rd round pick, if not ideal. When you have a franchise QB who’s had injuries, a steady hand backing up your all-pro isn’t a bad problem to have.

Also, it’s possible Coleman continues to improve and breaks through on the interior.

You absolutely cannot pay your elite LT to play RT though lol. I appreciate the big brain thinking to try to squeeze them all in though.
