Random Commanders Thoughts

They were all gold in the club section 20 years ago. It was a nice idea to have burgundy in the lower, gold in the middle, and burgundy on the top level. But when a group of club level seats are empty, they really stick out. I think the burgundy seats in the club level were an upgrade or perhaps getting your name on the seats. I sat in the club level recently and some seats have names on them. There were also some nicer seats as well. I didn’t pay attention if they were burgundy or not.

The overall stadium just looks run down though. 20 years of neglect will do that. The upper and lower seats aren’t burgundy, they are orange now. The club level yellow sticks out more becuase less fans come and many stay inside if the weather is not perfect. And the upper deck is an eyesore with all the missing seats along with the “party seats” or whatever they call them where people stand. They look empty even when people are standing behind the big burgundy wall.

Sucks Noah is out. He has been a beast physically and a few drops aside no fan has any complaints about his play. Far exceeded expectations for a free agent. Per Quinn a great team guy and clearly a top target in our offense. I think Dyami will be next man up but it wouldn't surprise me to see Luke get one big game before the season is over. Dyami in preseason played the role of right side possession WR and looked damn good albeit in limited snaps. I want to see a pump fake to TMC and 5 hit Dyami deep. Defenders will be ALL OVER any pump fake to 17. He'll be wide open; put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Luke will be too.

When thinking about Noah Brown's contributions this season, I think we are shortchanging him by only looking at his catches and targets. Brown has been a very good blocker in the run game and has helped key a number of big plays. I don't think the other WRs on this roster are as good or as willing to do the dirty work.

I have a feeling we may see more of Zaccheus than Dyami or Luke. He was a very frequent target early in the season and in fact, has twice the number of targets this year compared to those two.

I think things change next week after the Saints game when KJ Osborn is activated to the roster and starts to play on offense.

Osborn has 50 and 60 catch seasons in the NFL under his belt and Kingsbury said looking at him 'he's definitely someone who can help us'.

Given Zac's stature and return duties I bet he retains his exact same role he has had all year. They have used him wisely and am betting they don't push their luck. We are talking a lot first read targets that became available and those guys take hits.

It may also come down to who is the best blocker. Zac shows heart blocking but more often than not its the big boys that plow the road best. Never underestimate how much coaches love their WRs blocking.

Maybe this change will help Kliff get over the 2nd half brick wall he runs into. Losing Noah at a position all fans knew we were thin at to start the year will impact us and boldly predict JD5s legs may pickup the any slack in the passing game more than a depth WR.

Its time for an RG3esque long run for a TD.

Thanks for this, I've seen a number of these but this one had plays I don't remembrer. One play I'll never forget and I have not found it was against the Lions. A pass to the corner of the end zone to a receiver who was clearly open. Darrell put on the jets and in 2 steps caught up and made an incredible interception.

I'll never forget a Post article after he was drafted. Writer wondered how a corner so small could stop Rob Carpenter on an outside run. Yeah Darrell soon made us stop fearing Rob Carpenter.

I think it’s probably going to be a small incremental increase for everybody rather than one guy taking a significant step forward.

We need to remember, Noah Brown was having a nice season. He was cut by the Texans in August and still beat out all these guys for the second most targets on the team. The simple fact is none of these guys are good enough (in the case of McCaffery, maybe “yet”) to really handle a bigger load. They’re all inconsistent at best.

Peters would be crazy to not address weapons in a meaningful way, probably FA and draft, in the off season.

This position group could and most likely will look VERY different next year.

In the mean time, it’s going to fall to Kliff to try and squeeze more juice from these lemons.

Can't help but wonder if we should kick the tires on Beckham. Never liked his diva act and he's not what he was, but for a waiver wire pickup? Maybe.

Beckham is done. No way he's worth wasting some cap that could be rolled over to next year on him.

I vote no. The locker room is tight and introducing that type of a personality into it could be disruptive.

I also don’t know how much he’s got left or how he could be helpful.

I guess if they thought he could be super helpful very quickly, and he wouldn’t be a locker room issue, maybe?

I just doubt it.

With our kicker situation in all manner of disarray, I almost thought y'all were talking about David Beckham. :ROFLMAO:

How long will Dan Quinn be given to show he can deliver a Master Plan for the Lombardi's return to DC? Joe Gibbs showed it in year 2.

Marty was denied the opportunity to show he had the Master Plan - even though his 2001 season was simliar to GIbbs 1981 season.
