Random Commanders Thoughts

May be the worst back seven I have seen on defense since I started watching the team.

Don’t cover, don’t force the run.

Should be 8 new starters here next year.

Coaching, BD.

Talent.

If you don’t have cover instincts, 4.3 speed and all the other measurables don’t mean squat.

Yeah but this was a much better secondary last year under Harris. How do you explain that other than coaching?

Forbes and Martin flopped as top picks. Got burned early.

Fuller is now 30 and a declining player from what he was 3 or 4 years ago.

Any defense giving David Mayo legit snaps at LB leads to easy mismatches based on lack of foot speed.

Cole Holcomb > Cody Barton.

Barton can’t cover.

So, that’s 3 new players that have helped make the team worse and another a holdover that should never have been brought back.

We've had injuries at safety, and it was a mistake to let Holcomb go, Forbes can't play, St-Juste is inconsistent as hell, and Fuller has lost a step.

For starters.

This is all Snyder stink. The coach centric deal (which makes it harder to make a coaching change right now) was a historically bad move by a historically bad owner. The worst owner of all time possibly. Ron is a very good man, but does very little at coach and has made the team much worse with his GM moves. I understand Harris wants to respect the staff and wait until the season is over, but what do you tell the fans who paid to travel to their games this year? The Magic tweets are not enough.

I fully relate

You can't make this stuff up. You just can't.

The sad part is that it isn't even really surprising anymore.

When Rivera punted at the Dallas 47 on fourth and short in the first quarter I scratched my head.

Going into this game the ONLY way this team stood a chance of remaining in the contest was to be aggressive and score points.

Instead Ron punted the ball at 7-3 and was going to do a Joe Gibbs ‘we are depending upon our defense’ strategy? 🤪🤪🤪

If he thought this was going to be a tight, hard fought defensive struggle then he was the only one in the stadium that believed it.

Chicago?

Mixed feelings about Chicago. I want that second rounder as high as possible.

Washington has one of the hardest schedules for the balance of the season and the arc of this team is trending sharply downward after the Seattle game.

I think this club ends up with a top 5 pick.

Although there are teams out there that are giving us a run for our money :rotflmao:

If you were not a fan of Dallas or Washington and had to sit through that game at 4pm all you would have is heartburn after eating your turkey.

In fact BOTH of the games on Thanksgiving were turkeys in and of themselves.

Here the Lions were presented as a first place team establishing themselves and a no account Packers team at 4-6 goes into Detroit and kicks their asses for 40 minutes before the Lions finally wake up and make it a game.

The 'turkey' play of the day was Dan Campbell's decision to try and fake a punt from within his OWN 30 yard line just as his team was trying to get back in the game

What a meathead move.

All balls and no brains.
