Only this year theres noone in front if them so they make the team. Lets hope this group is actually as good in the regular season as they look against scrubs.

Despite the highly abrasive manner in which tr1 ranted about it- if we are worrying about the rushing attack - he was somewhat correct in that it's whether or not this OL can open holes up consistently that should concern is, much more so than who's carrying the rock.

Maybe we should bring Mike Shanahan back. We had a great run game with him and we all know how fantastically impactful that was on our won-loss record.

It's a passing league.

Look they may turn out to be awesome, but undrafted rookies generally dont pan out. And they make up half our current RB corps, behind two battling outpatients. That should be cause for concern.

Have either of them been given significant carries on another team? No.

All you've said about the young guys is that a) you haven't watched them, and b) they must not be good because they weren't highly valued in the draft.

I think they are talented youngsters, but then again, I think the guys in front of them are pretty talented.

Good news is if I'm horribly wrong you guys can mock me for a full season.

My argument is that even if I am wrong we may still win the NFC East.

Oh, i think we can win the East too. But I think we'll do it despite the fact that our running game is terrible. And that shouldnt be necessary. You dont want to be crappy at a spot if you dont have to be.

What's the difference between a defender's "missed tackle", and a carrier's "broken tackle" ?

I just want to see enough from the Run game to set up the pass.

As Boone said it's a passing league these days and I think we are set to have a really good one, as long as we can just get a serviceable run game to create at least a modicum of doubt in the eyes of defenses. We don't necessarily need a 1000 yard back as long as we can get some good yardage from whatever committee of RB's we put on the field.

I think teams know that we'll be a pass first team and they'll gear up for it. Hopefully that'll ease things a little for our ground game and we can take advantage of it.

If we can't then we're in trouble because teams will just stack against the pass all day. We need to make sure that when they do we can make them pay for it to create some balance. But I'm fine if that balance is skewed towards passing. We just don't want to be totally one dimensional.

Washington defensive workbooks found in a dumpster

Dan Snyder apparently needs to spring for a shredder.

A listener informed 106.7 The Fan’s Sports Junkies that defensive workbooks assigned to former Washington linebacker Ejiro Ederaine were found in a dumpster.

“So it has what you do in a hot route, what his assignment would have been, what the guy next to him’s assignment would have been, it has breakdowns and handwritten things of the new calls, like the defense changed the call or whatever,” the caller named Josh said on the air. “He scratched it out and put the new verbiage for it. I mean, it’s got everything.”

Players who are released routinely are asked to surrender all material provided to them by the team. In this case, the team either didn’t ask — or Ederaine didn’t comply.

Regardless of how this one turns out, it’s the biggest playbook-related controversy for the Washington franchise since Chris Cooley posted a photo of his own. Taken while the playbook was on his nap. While he wasn’t wearing pants.

Sigh.
