I agree on a some #, The Kirkoning has a lightning fast release. A complete new right side is where the majority goes imo. Sherff, Moses & Callahan should get majority of it all the same.

Once we get the C spot straightened out it should get better as well. Imagining our qb with even more time to read from the pocket is quite exciting!

Indeed!

I know we still have some running game issues, but I think what Callahan has done thus far with the O-Line has been tremendous. To cut our sacks down by that much, to give Cousins time in the Pass Blocking with McRib and 2 rookies (essentially) has been amazing. To have everything fixed in just one season was a bit much to ask, but I think we'll see a better run game next year too.

I think that O-Line is going to be a strength for years to come! (Fingers crossed!)

I think Cousins pocket presence has grown leaps and bounds too, and he's making good decisions to avoid sacks, whether throwing the ball away or stepping up away from pressure.

I'm really happy with where this offense is and where it's heading right now. :D

Smh....

I'm having a weird time right now. Feeling superstitious and don't want to say or do anything until the final whistle blows on the Redskins season this year. But it's pretty tough sitting on my hands and biting my tongue through all this. Put it that way...for now! :cool3::lipsrsealed2:
 
Not to worry CT, the entire time I've been a fan I'm always 'concerned' about prognosticating future outcomes of games.

Can't think of one time that I was confident either way, loss or win. Some games I could see the futility of a potential win more than others but I've seen enough of those "On any given Sunday" games to always 'whistle past the grave yard'

The most confident I was prior to a game..... the specter of rocket screen arose, forgot to whistle.

some guys aren't meant for longevity in the NFL. Not saying that is his case yet, but he runs hard, hits hard, and this is only his first season. Good thing we didn't "get rid of" Alfred earlier this year. Sometimes the ol reliable Mazda is a better choice than the shiny Lambo in the parking lot with a faulty transmission.

I hate saying things like this but Clay Matthews is extremely overrated.

Learning the new job can be a slow transition for some. Maybe he's not the brightest light in the string
 
He became considerably less dynamic/impactful when they moved him inside. I get that there were injuries, but I'd have had a hard time putting a yoke in a thoroughbred like that.

Kansas City vs Washington would take him over the moon, not only because our team is in but the ramifications of the Chiefs playing the Redskins amongst the PC crowd... ;)
 
That video of Scherff blasting Sean Lee was awesome. I wish I could find the video of Scherff doing the same thing to Greg Hardy toward the end of the game. He absolutely trucked him! Hardy was so pissed, when Scherff stopped because the play was over, cheap shot artist Hardy pushed Scherff down. It was the tussle at the end of the Dallass game.

My other half is writing her game preview on her Packers blog site. She asked me to chip in from a Redskin fan perspective.

The upshot from my point of view was that we're optimistic but that 25years of crap has taught us to wait and see. We're always waiting for that other shoe to drop.

Packers fans have had many years of success lately and hence they expect success. So for them the next victory is the next game and regardless of how poorly they've played they are confident Rodgers and co will prevail.

I'm not sure how many years of success it will take to get me to that point with the Skins. Been burnt so many times in the last quarter of a Century.

I think we've turned the corner. I hope we've turned the corner. I'm optimistic.

But I'm not ready to believe just yet. That kind of trust needs time to build.

Maybe by 2020 after a couple of superbowls....
