Colt pretty good. Our secondary still a bit of a concern.

Leribeus and Long not so hot. Breeland not a great game either.

Our new TE Carrier also looked good.

Gruden's postgame press conference cliff notes:

RG3 is seeing two specialists tomorrow. A neurosurgeon and also a psychologist.

Said Ross is really making it difficult on the coaches. He said the last WR has to be a big player on ST, then he kind of insinuated that Ross isn't that.

I still think he makes the team, but it didn't sound 100% guaranteed.

It's not a regular psychologist he's seeing, it's a 'neuropsychologist' - a specialist who is assessing behavioral/cognitive symptoms (like word-finding issues, abnormal reflexes, memory issues, etc...) to ensure a player has recovered from brain trauma.

Ok, that clears it up.

Nfl network just showed 2 interviews side by side....gruden and bellicheat.

They asked gruden about Griffin and he stumbled but answered the question about him.

They asked bellicheat about Brady being cleared and he said, "I'll just answer questions about the game. Anyone have any questions about the game?" Complete silence and he didn't flinch.

I feel like gruden could use that as a lesson on how to not feed the mediots.

So, Scot divorces Jessica and she's gone.

I don't see this as a long term issue for the team.

The media was first reporting this as if it was relapse by SCOT into the demons of his past, namely alcohol.

Wow! A guy in the NFL MAY be cheating on his wife OR his wife may have some of her own issues.

but my point is an NFL team is not going to fire a capable GM because he has a spat with his wife.

at the end of the day, business is business.

to this point there are no allegations of physical abuse or anything that would bring the 'code of conduct' policy into the discussion.

as far as the 'moral' dilemma goes, Bill Bellichick, Bill Parcells, Sean Payton and a number of other coaches/front office people, etc. have had affairs or nasty divorces and that has not affected their employment status.

Quick hit: The bye week arrives on October 26. If the team is struggling to win at that juncture, BBQ thinks that a coaching change will happen. The new (interim) coach? Bill Callahan. BBQ also believes that he will be quite effective and will lose the interim title in January. What do you think? Your thoughts are appreciated.

The idea that this is somehow going to bring McLovin down is unrealistic. This is a marital issue and there's zero evidence a) that something is going on between the two of parties, or b) that even if there is, that the reporter in question got confidential info based on that relationship. It's unprovable even if one assumes the worst.

Tr1, you have to be careful here.

When you talk about McCloughan having 'character' issues in San Francisco we are talking from what I know about problems with addiction to alcohol.

He has or had a disease.

I don't put that in the same category of having 'character' issues which in my mind's eye are things like spousal abuse, drug-dealing, sexual or physical assault, etc.

We all have flaws as human beings.

To me 'character' relates back to purposeful actions you take to break the law or harm others.

The only concern I will/would have if it turns out our GM has been pillow-talking a local reporter without the organization's knowledge.

Hey, if the man has been feeding a talking head subterfuge or misinformation for proactive, team-benefitting reasons, that I have no problem with--that's going down in any number of 31 other NFL cities on any given day. I do think I'd have a problem if it turned out our GM was simply spilling inside info because his marriage was on the rocks, and a pretty face was only too happy to give some comfort.

Perhaps most frustrating, sitting here today, is that while we have absolutely no effing clue what if any of this is fact versus fiction, we still get to listen ad nauseam to all of those who think/pretend they do pontificate.

McCloughan's wife likely made her point (?) with the tweets and she will get a nice financial package to 'go away' in a quiet divorce.

It's also possible that nothing more than some flirting went on and that his wife is a jealous wreck. It happens every day. I've been guilty of it myself. He may well love his wife and adjust his behavior so as not to cause her concern/distress in the future.
