When the wife of our GM flaps her gums about possible team moves all over the net that could harm the organization? It's a huge problem.

Right now everyone is still focused on the bj quote. Once someone with a brain in the media sees the second tweet, this will become the story going forward.
 
To everyone else in the country, we continue to look like a trash organization with trashy employees, and even wives of employees.

There is no reason at all why Toney Wyllie is still employed. Zero. Especially when the team is fighting to save the name.

And now it looks like our GM and his wife might be "white trash" that we just brought into the club to outsiders. It's crazy.

That dysfunction sends the wrong message. Why coach there? Whom can you trust? Why play there? Why give your best effort? Just collect a check and kick back.
 
Honestly McD5 - you are overreacting here. Wyllie is all thumbs when it comes to crisis management. I'm not sure how he has survived several bungled episodes but he seems bullet proof. I don't think he necessarily 'lied' here, but obviously you never vehemently deny something if you're not 100% sure you know all the facts. The rest of your concerns are sort of silly brother. First of all, there's no evidence of any kind that McLovin's wife's claims are true. And even if something's gone on between this reporter and McLovin, he's not going to tell any reporter anything he doesn't want out there - regardless what said reporter is or isn't doing to persuade him. This makes for a juicy night on Twitter but it's not going to impact a thing long term.

Maybe......but if you're Callahan, or any other coach around the league possibly considering Washington as a job going forward? I think it's pretty reasonable to assume that this has an impact.

Callahan sees this. If he takes the job, how long will it be before Scot's wife is spreading rumors about him getting fired?

In that case, if both the Washington job and let's say Arizona job opened up at the same time? It's a factor.
 
If he takes WHAT job? You've already got Gruden fired and have moved on to the next coaching search? I'm pretty sure Gruden's wife will be lucky if she's allowed to make unsupervised phone calls, much less spread rumors after this :)

Could very well be wrong but the first time I read the tweets it seemed like Mrs McLuvs was taking shots at Dianna, without accusations to her husband.

Possibly going public with what Scott said tongue in cheek at their house. Mrs McLuvs basically saying the only way D gets stories are bj's & (jokingly) her husbands side chick.

I hope Gruden/McCloughan can turn this crap around and we win a superbowl in the next couple years... i'm tired of hearing all this nonsensical psychobabble.
 
well, at least the worry of "choosing guys with bad personal life choices" is gone from Scot with Crowder being cleared, right?
 
If the wife goes silent this will fade, but you can't view this in a vacuum with regards to McCL and his possibly ongoing personal problems. I'd prefer the architect of my team have his personal life in order. I tend to see that as a reflection of the person. Time will tell.
 
We signed Chris Culliver and Junior Galette. McCloughan is not necessarily trying to put a roster of choir boys together.

When you are building basically from the ground up at many positions, you bring in a bevy of guys and hope through the process of elimination you hit on players that become core performers.

It's nice to see for a change that the team's first 3 picks figure to contribute as rookies and not sit on the inactive list game after game as we have seen in the past.

McCloughan thought Matt Jones was worth a late second round pick, Kiper thought he was a fifth or sixth round talent.

McCloughan thought Jamison Crowder should have gone higher but teams shied away from his lack of height.

I was referencing the top several picks.

Actually at wide receiver I think Rashad Ross is a guy whose speed we need on this roster.

The Redskins team speed was one of the items last offseason that was mentioned as something that needed upgrading.
 
Today I've decided I'm turning off my phone (so I stop getting BJ texts from friends) and ignoring this whole dramatic CLUSTER-F by redirecting my "happy place" energy toward posting memes on my social media accounts that make fun of Tom Brady and the court decision.
 
So are the jags stacking the hell out of the line,or they manhandling our piglets?
