I'm not with ya on this one Boone. When you look at what he actually said there is nothing at all wrong with it, quite the opposite in fact. The sticking point here is you and others critical seem to think he needs to bend over backwards to phrase things carefully or not comment at all in order to avoid having people flat out lie about what he said. To me life's too short, say what you have to say, if they can't accurately represent that then screw em.
Funny how the group divides in to the RGIII apologists and the "haters". Whatever, I don't understand how folks can look at it as black and white then make judgements. Its not a black and white issue (no racial pun intended).
Here's my only problem with what Robert said, and he has had this problem many times before. He doesn't get the fact that there is more to this team than himself. It is a team and the players will determine his success or failure. Griffin hasn't lived up to his expectations. He won't admit that to anyone including himself. But here's the problem, if he truly believe in his own hype, then when he fails, its because of the lousy team he's on. He's done this before and became a distraction. We don't need not stinkin distractions. Stop throwing your teammates under the bus. He hasn't done it yet this year, but this comment was setting it up for later. Open your eyes, the emperor has no clothes.
Robert has to grow up and become a great teammate first, before he can live up to his expectations. You don't get to "anoint" yourself king, doesn't work that way. I'm afraid he won't learn humility until he's out of Washington.
