What does it say about RG3 that the O-line manages to look competent with McCoy or Cousins back there, but absolutely atrocious whenever he's playing?

Keep it in perspective here. Minnesota's defense is no slouch.

Not good.

Seriously ? Cousins got hammered behind that line, causing him to become rattled enough he was falling apart as we watched. If not for McCoy having some scrambling ability, he would have gotten hammered too. That's not to say Robert doesn't still hang onto the ball too long at times, but the line is the real problem. Gruden acknowledged it in his Monday presser, saying we were soft up the middle in pass pro among other things.

Cooley usually does the defensive breakdowns next day.
Don't know if his stuff aligns with the coaches grades but it sure offers some insight to what we think we actually see on the field.

Yeah, without knowing the technical side like Cooley does, he saw the same guy I did. Didn't single handedly carry the team to victory. But he did more than enough to get a win.

If the defense had a repeat performance of the Cowpie game, this would have been laugher.

Well, with Griffin coming back off a long layoff and holding a 10-0 lead perhaps it would have been prudent for Gruden to call a draw or screen pass to start the drive and see if the team could get some yards to set up a short drive for a FG.

High percentage, low risk. If the play doesn't work run the clock out and go in with the lead.

With a team sitting at 3-5 I bet that Gibbs would have done the same thing.

Only been able to get through the RGIII segment so far, but really enjoy this. Some negatives from Cooley which is to be expected, but overall good feedback. 14 negative rated plays out of 69 plays total. Like his comment on the Zoolander effect and Andre Roberts being mugged like he was in Brooklyn on a pass route.

I enjoyed it as well...I think Robert looked pretty good overall on his first game back...He needs to find a sweet spot on deciding when go for it and when to slide. That's fixable and at least I see the effort to minimize the big hits when he can live to play another drive. Both interceptions were really bad...but those things happen to teams that struggle to a .500 record.

Agreed. I was somewhat surprised when Cooley said Robert need to take more yards on the 3rd down with around a minute to play instead of his slide. I think it's the right call from Cooley as I equate to it the Baltimore game in 2012 where RGIII got hurt going for the extra yards. Based on the situation, that needed to be done. However, I could certainly see many people say it would show he wasn't protecting himself.

I'll have to remember to look for this each week because I found I enjoyed it even more after finishing the whole thing. It sure felt like he took Jordan Reed to task saying Jordan always goes inside on 'Choice' routes which is one reason why he doesn't catch more balls. And he always said Jordan really wasn't blocking well on the options when all he has to do is block on the defender's outside shoulder to Robert doesn't have to turn inside. The whole clip seemed very insightful and helps me understand a lot more.

He really loved Compton this game.
