Yeah, that's what I thought. Has something new come out?

As with most rumors about this team, it was unfortunately confirmed as 100% true.

Desean Jackson confirmed that the team is split on RG3.

Here is the article...what I get from it is they were wondering if they should bench the hot hand for the starter and DeSean stopped any nonsense from starting.

But, then again, he also says that Cousins has the best touch and threw the ball the best...so take it for what its worth.

Now some of the more respected writers are saying this has been going on a long time.

Actually, to me that sounds like a few cancers that need to be removed. That sort of belly aching has no place on any team, especially one that has yet to prove itself.

McD, you said respected writers are confirming this, can you put a link or tweet or something out there?

As for the content of the rumors, I would guess that some guys are under the misapprehension that their feelings matter. Gruden seems like a no-nonsense kind of guy, and I am hoping he puts a stop to this foolishness. I realize you can't do as much during the season, but if it's a high profile guy, cut or trade him to send a message. I'm guessing the remainder of the season will be an intense evaluation period for Gruden. Griff has shown he can win in this league, Kirk hasn't, and McCoy hasn't either. To me, unless Griff looks like dog shit out there, he is the clear choice; if guys on the team are supporting a QB that throws with more touch over the guy who has shown he can win, there is no place on the team for those guys, imo.

I don't doubt that gossip and rumors are happening..but that's everywhere. People talk behind people's back all the time.

But unless the gossiper is going to come out and say it was them it's not worth giving life to.

And if you read John Keim, two things are pretty clear:

1. Pierre Garcon has been very vocal about his frustration with RG3.

2. Keim used to report that RG3 was looking sharp or better in practice. He never says anything like that anymore. I guess it's possible that he looks like crap in practice. We only get to see the games.

Mobile is more Coasty territory then anything. I don't see a lot of Air Force. That said, Mobile is where my Dad was living 5 years ago when I moved here. Pensacola is only about an hour away tho.

There is a bit of bias in your list, I'll fix it up for you with a more factual account that includes proper context:

I guess it's possible that he looks like crap in practice. Many times Keim has said Griffin looks worse in practice, and stated so this off season when comparing him to his first year. We only get to see the games.

Leaving that stuff out, and only selecting the bits you want to support your argument, actual hurts your position by showing intense bias. I know you want our team to win, and think there is a better way. Cutting out the exact facts surrounding things doesn't exactly show what's best though, it just allows some things to fester.

There is a lot wrong with this team at this point, and that is the main thing being made more obvious by the current reporting. Griffin is the franchise QB, and will (rightly) be held more accountable for things. But lets not forget what the record has been without him being on the field.
