Gotta go with Boone on this one...let Colt start. Colt is more than capable of beating Minnesota.

However, Minnesota is not some "guaranteed" win. So far this year, we've beaten the teams we were supposed to beat, played a couple teams tough who were good/solid teams and beat a team was supposed to beat us.

The Vikings head coach practiced against our Head Coach for 3 years...how is that going to pan out?

Oh and Ax, I think Colt has solidified his place as a career backup. We are not getting anything in a trade, but he could still be our backup for one more year. No need to let go of a guy who is a capable backup, unless Colt McCoy sticks around as a backup.

As long as Robert has a pulse, he's the guy. Unless Gruden wants to completely rebuild for a immobile QB, Cousins is nothing more then a solid back up. McCoy is in more of the mold for which we are built right now, but he's not a full time starter from what I've seen over the course of his career.

I can't believe people are even thinking about Colt as a long term answer for this team.

All that being said, I personally think it would make more sense to let Colt start in Minny and give Griff the full 2 weeks of practice with the starters to be ready.

This sentiment is strong amongst some of the locals.

They're also are getting into the ' Robert looks bad, poor decision by Gruden' what-if scenario... sounds like the vultures are perching on high waiting for the prey to drop.

Most have settled on a 'wait and see' mode following practice tomorrow.

Nice. If he's healthy he should be out there, period. If he's risking further injury to the ankle, no, otherwise, absolutely.

His biggest weaknesses are his lack of experience and his ability to stay healthy. The only way for him to make progress is to be on the field running the offense.

If he can't stay healthy, he doesn't belong in the NFL.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reports that Griffin will start Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings, according to a source informed of the team's decision. The Redskins came to the decision based on how Griffin looked and felt in practice on Wednesday

According to Diana Marie Russini of NBC4 in D.C., Washington quarterback Robert Griffin III willstart Sunday when his team travels to Minnnesota for a pre-bye-week game against the Vikings.
It’s no surprise. With third-stringer Colt McCoynow 2-0, Griffin needs to pull the plug on any talk of McCoy keeping the job by coming back and playing well.

As I digest the victory, I think about things that mean more then just a play execution. Things I haven't seen in a while that make me want to feel like we are headed in the right direction. Hell, Gruden showed video's of the Redskins vs Cowboys rivalry this week before practices.... SERIOUSLY? I thought that was something us fans did. That is AWESOME.. This is a rivalry and maybe it's a momentary flash of playing over our heads, but if Gruden can take what we did last night and build upon it... This team is absolutely headed in the right direction.

Good post. I don't totally agree, because I think there is a euphoria that we are feeling that is probably affecting how we are approaching the next game. So, like I said, one game at a time. Everyone played up this game & really made Dallas work for everything...well, almost everything. There's a long way to go still. I remain cautiously optimistic cautiously. Meaning I am very VERY careful about just how optimistic I get right now. I am VERY optimistic about the future, but this season...well, it's still up for debate.

I don't know Pete...Breeland was balling most of the night. He made a huge mistake on the TD to Witten, but perfect pass defenses against a much larger Bryant in today's NFL on back to back plays forcing the Turds to a FG was as good as it gets...with any QB.
