I think we need to have a rule that a Redskin has to actually play a few games before we start hating him.

Oh I hated him was away before he was a Redskin.

Saw this on ESPN's preview. Was a little surprised.
"The Redskins' rank on first down on both offense and defense. The offense averages 6.9 yards on first down and allows an average of 4.05 yards on first down."

of course, here's the second part "It's partly why both units rank in the top 10, not what you'd expect given a 1-3 record. Turnovers have hurt; they're minus-5 in the differential. Third downs have been a factor too, as the offense converts just 36.7 percent (26th) and the defense allows 46.3 percent to be converted (18th)."

Ran across this nugget today in regards to the Baker hit and Abdullah penalty.

As for Abdullah, “The player was flagged, correctly, for the slide on his knees in the end zone, not for going to the ground in a prayerful gesture,” Referees Association president Scott Green said.

Sounds like to me the referees are trying to protect themselves.

And what would put it at the top of the list?

“I think when it gets to the point where it’s costing the team — the Redskins and the league — money, then I think you’ll start to see some real serious discussion about it.”

Like we said, at least he was honest.

Gotta admit I didn't watch one play of NFL today. Just didn't interest me what so ever.

Tomorrow on the other hand gonna break out the 21 jersey & see if can get us out of this damn funk!

And the Skins lead the Hawks by a wide margin, in virtually every offensive category.

One more thing - the Skins FOURTH leading receiver has better stats in all areas, than the Hawks TOP receiver

Watching some of the long field goals kicked today made me think about the early 80s when a 42 yarder was considered long and an adventure. When we had the last of the straight on kickers in Mark Moseley (only kicker to be an NFL MVP) and Steve Cox.

Was doing some research and also saw Moseley attempted 47 FGs in 1983. No kicker has attempted that many since and he is tied for 3rd all time in a season. I'm actually a little surprised someone hasn't attempted that many since then with all this offense.

When I was doing my picks for ESPN's Pigskin Pick'em, I thought about it for a minute & said, "screw it!" I picked the Skins to win & the score to be 45-17 us. If I'm going to go down, might as well go down swingin for the fences.
